I don't play the game to just have a bunch of money. I play the game to decorate. There are a lot of people like me. No one likes paying 150k for a chair when most of us only make 250 coins every 6 hours. That is absolutely ridiculous! New players will see the prices and will not be able to decorate with anything other than the slim pickings from what is left in the stores. If it is not considered a collectible and it it is the furniture store but we can not access it, then it should be brought back.

And I understand all that too but i'm sure bvg will be bringing out some awesome new stuff. I mean people aren't even giving them time to release items and they're asking for re-releases already. I do understand there should be more selections for decorating that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I just think people need to be patient and see what bvg has in store for us. I really have faith in what they're going to do for us and I'm looking forward to the first release

BVG needs to put this to rest... once and for all! This isn't some game you go to the store and buy, to throw into your game system, where everybody starts at the same level! Many have played... and sunk LOTS of time and REAL money into this game, for 5 & 6 years!!! There should be some sort of reward for their loyalty!, don't ya think?
Spend a few bucks... make some coinage... and buy those things you want! If it's out of your price range... then you save more or move on!
It's called LIFE! I want a brand new house...Oh and a new car! Why can't I have them! Joe Schmo has 'em! I "deserve" to have what he has? NO! I have to EARN IT!!!
The playing field will never be even in this game!

I agree.
The problem with people nowadays is that they want things right this very second and they have no patience at all. I did not get where I am in one hour, one day, one week, one month or one year... I got there in the five years that I have invested in this game. I didn't get here by socializing or posting on the forums - I got here by putting in a bunch of effort by buying and selling and occasionally purchasing YoCash. Sure, prices aren't what they used to be and everything has gone up but it's still possible to work your way up. All you have to do is try. It's not gonna be easy and it might take you years to do it but it'll be fun and rewarding in the end when you get that item you've always wanted.

So I did some calculations which you are welcome to double check. I'm not claiming maths as a strong point of mine.
So lets say I am new to Yoworld and I see a pirate costume and I want to buy it. I don't have the coins so I look at what options are available to me.
The pirate costs 18 million coins so I look at the buy coins option. It will cost me 5143$ at 70k coins. There is no way a sane person is spending $5143 for some pixels. That is not an option.
Next option is buying yocash and selling it at 40:1. The best price is 660 Yocash for $99.9. I will have to sell 450 of my yocash to get 18mil. That comes to $68 which is also a lot of money for some pixels.
But there is one more option. Since I am a new player I manage to scrape together 2000 coins a day by spending an hour doing mind numbing activities.
By earning 2000 coins a day, it will take me 9000 days or 24 years to buy the pirate costume.
So the best option is to spend $68 to buy a pirate costume. By selling at 40:1 the new player is buying into the current unsustainable yoconomy and is unwittingly joining the plutocracy which continues to nurture the class conflict by corrupting the yoworld society with greed and hedonism.
Honestly, I don't know that spending 24 years to buy one item will be fun or rewarding, but you are right when you say it won't be easy and it might take years. All 24 of them

I didn't walk in the game and get everything I wanted right away. It took time, money and lots of buying and selling. Someone else tried to calculate all this too. And it all boils down to the fact that unless they want pink rets or some rare item as soon as they start the game then yep they should have to spend that much on yocash to get it but as far as i'm concerned no new person needs to start off with those kinds of items.
Vivica (13404458) wrote:I'm not gonna re-do the calculations because math is, was, and always will be my worst subject lol! So I'll just take your word for it.
But there's also another option... buying and selling or collecting/hoarding and selling items when they go up in price. THIS is the majority of what I did to get where I am today and I am STILL doing it because there are still items out there that I'd love to have. I started off by buying and selling pets - it definitely wasn't the most rewarding thing ever but it earned me some coins and when I got enough I started buying and selling bigger, pricier items. Buy cheap then have yourself an auction event. I sell PLENTY of odd bits in the AH too for 100,000 coins buyout... things that I would never ever imagine would sell for 100,000 coins under any other circumstance but they do.
Also, let's not kid ourselves... Pirate won't stay 18M for long -- it'll come back down, as will everything else, just like they always do.

When we started at the bottom a costume didn't cost $68. Even if the person isn't new and doesn't have the coins they will also have to pay $68.

Even if you buy low and sell high it contributes to the current high prices of things. If you buy a bowl of strawberries for 35K and sell it for 300K it pushes the prices up further, making the yoconomy even more expensive for new players. And if bowls of strawberries start costing more, players with costumes won't be happy with strawberries soon costing the same as their precious costume, so the price of costumes will continue to go up.
As for costume prices coming down that's not really true, it might come down a bit, but then it goes up even further. Every year the prices go up, that's the way the yoconomy works.
