A big problem that I've observed online is because of AI. The use of it has stirred the pot around images. Unfortunately, I think it's too gray of an area for anyone to resolve. They couldn't possibly police all the images that are similar to an artist's work but different enough to be ok to use. The lines are blurred big time and now the price is coming due. I'd love to know how they are going to resolve the Pandora's Box of Artificial Intelligence. They are going to try though. With the amount of people even playing this game anymore I'm really surprised that BVG was targeted unless all gaming sites received some kind of stern warning. That might result in a drastic measure like we just experienced. Just a thought, have no idea. This decision didn't just come out of nowhere though, so who is behind it?

Read Stormy Amphitrite's post above yours. If any of those reasons and possible others are the case where it's serious and there's possibly legal stuff involved, they probably didn't have much choice. It would be for the safety of the players and the game.

Just cancelled my VIP subscription. I am done supporting this game financially. Still undecided about whether I want to stick around at all.
Mass punishment is something I have strong negative feelings towards.
Somehow it's not a problem to ban individual players for buying and selling coins,Yocash, and items for real money instead of resorting to discontinuing all trading and gifting features for the entire community.
Furthermore while the coding for the old whiteboards had been done by Zynga, the coding for paint boards was done by BVG. So it would have been up to them to do that in a way to make it possible to wipe out offensive images on those boards, as they created them as a replacement to Zynga's whiteboards.
I am sorry, but this still sounds more like an excuse and easy way out to me, and announcing this without any heads-up to the already greatly decreased player community whatsoever. The poor and last minute communication is the other factor that really bothers me in this situation, and it's by far not the first time of poor communication to the player base.

frustrating isnt it ...

I can tell you that the frames work for a few but not all - and that frames are facebook codes issue (notice the clear lack of game feed on fb and it's more like those newspapers you find in the states that is full of fiction?? - fb found out that selling promotional space to those trying to influence elections was a bigger money maker then selling us 5 dollar packets of pixels)

I can still collect hotdogs -- I will live broke before I hunt dogs, that said if I see your feed i click it out of habit .... few thousand in coins at the end of the day doesnt make or break play (and it should btw -so what does that say about that feature?)

I think they have pretty much gotten things back up to speed as far as employees, fingers crossed - the Mike's came out to play on Discord yesterday ... What we have is in my opinion

a lack of communication in a style that is understood; clearly If some of us get the message but not everyone ...... we have to figure out a way to make it heard - because the info is all out there on the issues you bring up

We also have a culture that feeds on the idea that some are different better or more welcomed then others --- and if you go to a public space and are treated poorly .... well man, that reflects on us not them

Add to it the organized crime element (thinking that players themselves would be smart enough to avoid it clearly wasnt the answer) ... we are seeing huge increases in resale markets because of the coin sellers. (refer back to hot dog issues)

and the reaction of those still trying with their last gaming yoworld breath to destroy our world --- they have made if aggressive and unwelcoming ... their only efforts are for their team's winning with no realization that if you blow up the world - you didnt really win. what you did was take from others what wasnt yours by force.

I bet you have a list of things that you feel BVG can do a better job of, I know I do --- but when I point out things like value is only a value if you allow i to be. In fact, I have been blessed to not really even be attracted to most of the price jacked items .... so i'm able to see it in a different light then maybe someone who has their heart set on something and is heart broken over never being able to obtain it

I think it's silly and obscene; the jacking and the exclusives etc ---- I dont need special items to feel special, better or what ever it is ..... I buy things based on their use and how I can use them. I have spent and i clearly have a passion for this game (that i have quit a number of times over many many different reasons)

Cant we just give BVG a break - give them time --- they might actually in the end realize just what an amazing bunch of supporters WE ALL all of us are.

And it was taken from us; but not by BVG I dont feel they had a choice in this

this Frida is where u get to thank those players that have worked endless hours in the pursuit -- that is to pull BVG under water. They broke the rules, were given the correct treatment and the resentment they carry has not endded These players are in other games you play as well - some are good at coding and make honest money in some platforms and in others they simply bend and break the rules.

those who created this mess did it with intent; BVG im sure as we speak are looking for ways to assure legally they are unable to do this again to us (the reasoning behind not really being able to tell us more - they themselves are now in a legal battle and cant)

So know, we all feel your pain. Yoworld has many many great and wonderful people. So you might never meet. their joy is in their homes and their small circle. There use to be alot of people like that; I'm hoping we can create a welcoming culture that see's a return as players life's allow - lets be honest, sometimes real life just gets in the way of a few hours of relaxation

It's still skeptical, in my opinion. Paint boards existed a little bit later since BVG took over Yoville from Zynga, when was around maybe 2015-2016. If the misuse of the Paint boards were really critically influential to the community, why did the judiciary entities had to wait around 8-9 years to do such legal action, until June 2024, instead of banning paint boards immediately at that time?

Besides, if this is really a legal decision from the lawyers/judiciary court, BVG should show us the legal letter from the lawyers or even the prohibition from the judiciary court, if such a judgment has already made, telling us directly that this is a legal decision. By doing so, at least they can clarify their decision. We can all understand BVG's dilemma of disabling PB. However, in their explanation on the forum, it was just too vague, and the disabling of PB was all of a sudden. They had not given us any notice or warning before they disabled the PB. They're just making people angry and desperate. More hatred has been made to the people.

I don't know the law in the US coz I'm not a US citizen. Anyone understands US law law, please feel free to correct my thought, if I misunderstand how the lawyers take legal action / judiciary court make judgment in the country.

BVG I can only guess - was contacted by even possibility the un task force. International law is tricky but yes, you can without a doubt and with recent awarenes so sex trafficking and doxxing laws - completely find yourself in a situation that wouldnt have NOT been possible in 2015. - I sounded an heads up over this when congress decided to hold hearings into the very topic ... in the states, if you reach the us congress You are going to see rapid changes ....as such its my feeling BVG was in fact caught up in this fast pace area of law. However I cant stress enough this was and is a player issue - this was placed on your lap by those that have such a hate for BVG for enforcing their easy to understand tos.

If those of us in the community would stand together; we can create a movement of change -- one where BVG isnt being forced into the doing drastic things to save the game. In the end; they might have to pull the plug anyway -- that removing the boards were not enough. They need age verification, the world expects it. Until then; lets watch what we do. keep the 18+ pg friendly as possible because we know every single kid that falls into this game is going to go straight to that area ... it is human nature -- might as well have a red blinking light LOL on it

we wait, and we I'm guessing will wait some more and if we are still very very lucky god himself (ted) will drop in and offer us some encouraging words and thanks for pulling together - and thank us all for the level of understanding and love for the product they offer us.

I know it sucks, all of my tour maps are now gone so I too have been adversely affected by this, however, I believe they will do whatever they can to find a solution
