Yes lots of items called rare really have quite a few in game. I do wonder how many of a few items, like the harder to find items in the Bev Hills III mystery box, the excalibur, and the the bonus mystery box are actually in game. To me those would be rare.

I see them at almost every rare sale 08/09 or auctions. Buddha is not really rare.

What about the gold bird from the 08 Egypt theme?

I love rares from the mystery boxes. I do not like the stuff in them now but I remember how much fun it was to spend what i made to try to get a rare and sell it because i was poor. I wish they update the boxes with cool rares. I have a taku dining table i don't even know where it came from never saw it in the store but i like it

Yea I've got two that sit outside my contemporary home. I love them and I wish I would have bought more.

I think the pinwheel that DV holds is pretty rare...been searching for ages for it.

I think that items that are in the sales alot is not Rare. I think that rare items that not in the game as much and hard to find!. There many people wanting to buy items and there been searching for weeks so there really the rare items.

I agree a rare item is something thats hard to find...not just old. Try finding a high chair from the Yorient theme or the animated Bird Teapots fro Alice theme. Things like those to me are RARE!

LOL.. that's funny. My first house has the cabinets and appliances... but try finding more! They're THE nicest designed kitchen I've ever seen in game and something no one seemed to hoard.
