This type of bs has saved me lots of money over the past few years though, I have faith, BVG screws me, and the thing I wanted, I no longer want. There is no saving this game with BVG at the helm!

Im so sorry - I opened one, one and done - it is more then I have been opening. -- its isnt that I dont support the game, clearly I do ... it is why would any company set their players up to feel so disappointed and frustrated ? I dont understand why they hate us ... but clearly I cant think of anything more ugly then to mislead us on gambling odds

I couldn't care less about getting those hairs. I like the set and will get as much of it as I can but I'm not in the least bothered about getting every single piece. I'll use them individually anyway, more than likely.

I don't understand how you guys sit in your planning meetings and talk things like this through and no one brings up how frustrating things like this could be for the player experience. I know players who love quests and collecting, but even they aren't interested in the multiple steps and the gambling involved. Can you imagine doing everything to obtain 8 of these items, but can't get "lucky" enough to get the last 4? Do you know how deflating that is to people who are hopeful to get the entire set? I guess you don't because I am here explaining it.

I do hope you guys start engaging the Player Council about your new ideas BEFORE you roll them out. And I hope that group is sensitive enough to recognize how things like this are going to impact the player experience. Collectibles are very fun. But they must be attainable by DIRECT action and not chance. And those actions must be simple and easily determined. You guys have turned it into a pre calculus course combined with a couple spins of the roulette wheel. "Ridiculous" doesn't even begin to describe it.

At the end of this, I do hope you are prepared for the posts from players who failed to complete your gauntlet. They will be salty and full of anger. I'd suggest you modify things at the end to provide them other ways to get what they are trying desperately to obtain. Which will of course anger the lucky players who did it all and got lucky. But here we are walking out this mess you made. All it takes is a little thought about how people feel about what they do when they play this game.....

You are very right, Rod. My official anniversary is in August and that is always a time of reflection. I have begun the process already. The information we have been provided about this "quest" is confusing and probably undoable. I really want to know if Slots or the Casino use is required to complete it. I also want to know if one has to purchase the 1800 cash stair step offer.

I echo Rod

it is confusing and from the feed back, discouraging and it appears close to impossible for some

I never got a reply to my first question

it this going to be done in a way that everyone will have access to everything without having to use a pay wall

that is a simply yes or no - but apparently they either dont know or dont want to answer a direct question about this

I disagree with all these adult players whining and crying about the new unique twist on getting items in the game. You cant please them all. This game has a BUY SELL TRADE FEATURE and guess what I too cant afford every item i like in the game but its not going to stop me from trying :)

Whining and crying about the "whining and crying" is still whining and crying.

The number of players who log in every day to exclusively trade is miniscule now. I know, because I used to be them. Trading is a by product of everything else in Yo now. It is not a primary focus.

But you are entitled to your opinion, and that's always good to share. Those who disagree with you are not your enemy.

I suggested this ... players can buy the pieces to fill the picture in, when complete they have the picture that can be put in a room.

I didn't mean to offend you Sir as my response was for the overall tone of the forumers response to the post.

My original post wasn't about attacking anyone just calling out the tone for the overall experience for the devs rolling out a new feature. I think its fair to give things a fair shot before we just all shoot them down.

As for trading , I never mentioned anything about people logging in "exclusively" to trade, I was just mentioning one of the core pillars to yoworld that will help the worried rest their minds that all pieces ARE in fact obtainable without spending a penny.

None of us know the motives behind every player and just because what you used to do doesnt mean there arent some of us still hustiling daily.

Did you need any of the COL pieces that have been released yet? I have extras of each so far. :)

I think the trading is mostly gone. I think now it's mostly collecting and when goals are impossible to reach .you lose interest fast .I know there's the ah but by the time you save up enough to buy what you want especially with most of the prices it's once again inaccessible.I do understand why people charge that much on some things with the price of the deals they put them in.

There are still plenty of traders in the game. You know what there are a lot less of? Coin sellers. And that accounts for at least some of the drop in daily players and traders. I log in daily and trade some of those days. Depending on what is selling and what I have, but its far from a done deal. Rod may have everything he wants, but I don't and plenty of others don't.

I do actually agree that we have a population in the game who don't want anything to change and do have a big fit every time something new rolls out. Of course sometimes they are right, and for the most part yes, everything costs too much. Still, one could give it a fair shake. Also no one has to have every single item. And those fugly hairs are nothing to chase either.

Thank you for the kind offer. I will graciously decline. I will eventually buy the entire set from someone, provided I find someone reasonable. Otherwise, I made it 42 years without one. I'll be ok.

As I said somewhere on forums on this topic, those who will not spend any real money should not expect to receive or have an equal opportunity to receive everything those who spend real money receive. The company, whether we like it or not has to pay employees etc. I have been playing long enough to be able to speak about the general character of many of the players I have run into over the years and it has not always been nice. We have had money launderers, thieves, liars, cheats, angels who would and did give the shirts off their backs and hoards of people - entire blocks of them in foreign countries surviving on the money they made selling coins and even a baby sitter who murdered the chid she was watching because she lost a bid in the auction house. And don't forget the rumored guys in the dessert buying weapons with money made selling coins.
I remember early when BigV restarted this game, one of the owners actually called someone out here in the forum for never spending any real money. And though I considered that guy a friend, I have to admit I understand the frustration BigV had/has. Nothing is free. And the real world outside of this game knows that.
