i've already opened up 200 wind chests (from neighbor visits), if that is what we're supposed to do, unlocking 14,000 yocoins

it makes even less sense if Andrew meant the kind we actually send to each other, because on a typical day any one of us opens up about 40k worth of yocoins.

how on earth could this be right, 8000 yocoins is already completed by just one of us.

What, exactly, is the goal? You didn't say...

This is kind of a weird one because we really have no control over how many mystery chests have coins, and there is a built-in limit on how many we can earn (and therefore, open) per day. (I hope you all don't think we are all going to start buying the chests and keys at 2-4 yc each to earn 8,000 coins. That's insane.)

I rarely get coins or yc in them.

I don't think anyone here understands the vague & confusing directions. The best bet is to send & open coin chests (I THINK the ones you just gift & not the suitcases / keys you get from buddy visits).

well that is confusing because yes, at first he said "coin chests" which i'd think would be the ones we send to each other... but then Andrew posted this (below) which makes me think it is the EMC coin run visit boxes he was referring to.... plus 8,000 yocoins is all we need to earn as a community? i'm still waiting for clarification because the whole thing is confusing either way:

I opened a few hundred wind and fire ones, got tons of cups. Only got about 5k total. I don't get coins often at all.

I did my 10 visits today (my coin run) and got 8 energy coffee, 2 earth mystery boxes and 1 fire box hmmmm what's the chance of getting Any money there??? I get more energy than I do mystery boxes so getting 8,000 coins could be a challenge for sure if that is how we are supposed to get it. Wish Viking Andrew would clarify although we are all probably doing what we need to without actually knowing

Suggestions:
~When there are questions about the challenges, like the chest question, perhaps the ninja can go back and edit the *original* post to clarify it there.
~After the ninja edits the original post to clarify, it would also be helpful to have the person who originally asked the question to delete their post (so ppl are forced to read
the ninja's post carefully and pay attention to what's said in there)
~When each task is complete, the thread gets deleted to avoid confusion. (For that matter it'd be nice to unpin stuff from several yrs ago on the board too).


***And to clarify to anyone who still isn't paying attention, it was 8,000 boxes you get from doing the friend visits (that gift YC, coins, and household stuff).
If 8K was the amount needed from the entire community to open to receive the reward, it was definitely obtained. I myself opened and got over 10K worth of coins yesterday, and another woman in the thread said she opened something like 8K or more.

Its my understanding if we opened unknown number of boxes as a community we'd get a prize of 8,000 coins.... This idea has a lot of potential.. its disheartening that someone comes up with an idea and then wanders off to something shiny over there and there.. and there

The 8,000 coin amount is the combined total. We are not expected to each open chests worth 8,000 coins.
