So sorry. Maybe you should contact them again. It can't hurt right?

Just to clarify, I was hacked...And to this day I don't know how. (Summary: Never gave out my password, and I have virus/malware protection).
Greg already said he wasn't going to be able to give me any of my stolen items back, so the ONLY thing I have to look forward to is when he says he banned the person responsible...I haven't heard from him since I last talked to him on here though, and would like an update.
Although, it shouldn't have taken long at all...all they have to do is look at my trade history, and look for the person I decided to trade everything worth anything to him for the low price of 10c. (and I had 20c, and more than 12 items missing, so there was more than one trade). I mean c'mon. That's the obvious hacker right there. Just ban the guy already! He's probably done this to others as well by now, and he should have been stopped the day I posted this thread.

Also, anyone who thinks I'm being rude for straight up saying this, get over it. I'm mad because this guy should have been banned ASAP. Instead, as far as I know, he's still out there hacking other people and taking their years of work away.

Cheryl (448532) wrote:sorry it happened but your post is confusing? were u scammed or were u hacked? BVG can't do anything about you being stupid enough to believe a scam to lose your money. IF you were hacked, then oh well. Should have had better anti-virus/malware/hacker proof protection... BVG is still better than Zynga..so u badmouthing them is just not a good idea

I just thought I'd reply to your comment personally. It wasn't a scam, I was hacked. And I did have protection on my computer. And with what you're saying, you're saying BVG shouldn't ever help anyone ever...because someone is either scammed or hacked, and you say if either happens, they don't deserve help...

Just saying, that's a messed up view.

Your original post was very confusing to the point of it wasn't very clear IF u were scammed or hacked. BVG helps those genuinely in need of their help. IF u are scammed, then why should BVG help you? Don't put words in my mouth..you have no clue on my line of thinking... You were still badmouthing BVG in your original post. I've never been hacked nor do I hack. I've never been scammed nor do I scam. I read and obey the rules and have lots of fun :)

Sorry for you

But you need to be chary of what you're doing. Hopefully you didn't give out any personal information because that would most likely be the reason why you were hacked.

As for Big Viking Games, it isn't their fault at all. Your account responsibility is yours, not theirs. Big Viking Games does try to keep us safe. After all, they did warn us many, many times about protecting your account.

Sorry for your loss.. But there is nothing I can do :|

If you were hacked, then why does the title say "scammed"? :?

Was this a breakdown in communication? They have said that if you fall for a scam, then they can or will do nothing for that. It would be your fault that you fell for it, I suppose. BUT, were you hacked? If you told them you were scammed, then that would be the end of the story before it gets started.

If you told them that you were hacked, and you didn't give someone you password or access to your account, and someone has managed to find a way to actually hack the account, then I would think that they would be all over that.

There is a huge difference between being scammed or getting hacked.

They stated ways for you to stay away from a scam, but if you involve yourself in risky situations,
then that is clearly your fault. If you click punishing sites such as he state, it is also your fault for not realizing on
what you clicked on. They do this because they get so many reports that they don't know are false reports or not,
so for them not to review trades is smart. It is your responsibility to keep safe, not theirs. Ofcourse they care about
our safety! Why else would they give us steps on how to stay safe? It is you who has to abide by them. Someone
cannot just hack into your account without help from you, so who ever has done this, you done something wrong in
that path, and ended up with a sour result.
I see nothing wrong with the response Viking John gave.
It is very unfortunate this has happen to you, but make this a learning experience..
Best of luck!

Very well said.

Yes. and that's why they are working on a YO-PASS app so that even if someone makes their way in your FB account, your yoworld application will have its own password protection that can be obtained ONLY via your own phone.

I so appreciate BVG for thinking of this. Best solution ever.

My facebook needs a confirm code to log in from another computer so how is YoPass going to be better? The people that really need the protection will not use it until it is too late  . The sad truth.

How do you know that player wasn't banned? BVG can't just come on here and say we banned him.

Seems as though the security fail lies with FB. That is the only way to access the game. It does suk and I'm sorry it happened, but I don't think BVG can be held accountable.

Nope. I'm down in SC and my phone (Verizon) Facebook App shows as Livingston, New Jersey, United States. Not saying that is the same for you. Hope you do not have key logger ;)
