Even though it's a game, it's no different than the real world as we are dealing with real people. People like that are difficult to ignore both in game and in real life, but you just HAVE to. Remind yourself that they are either extremely ignorant or that they have severe psychological issues and it's their problem, and not yours. Hold your head high and let the haters hate, because in reality, they hate themselves and are just taking it out on others.

I'm wonderful. I have my rooming assignment for my first year of college, and I'm really excited. I lucked up in finding the perfect roommate via Twitter. LOL.

It's good to be here. I must say that I miss the old forum though.

Agree 100%. There's players from every country, background, religon, etc. So sometes we just have to agree to disagree. And if all else fails suck it up, report/block them. This game is for entertainment purposes only. Don't let some ignorant scumbag(s) ruin your fun. After all you'll probably never meet this person(s) so why be offened by their comments?

I'm not sure that it is entirely, though. For the most part it is but I don't think most of us want to risk a ban as we would be banned from the game as well. I've encountered drama already but nothing as severe as the in the old one. Hope the civility continues here.

Just ignore, report and block them hun, don't give them attention because that's what they want.
I have a problem too with snob and racist people in game so i just ignore, report, block and move on.
They don't exist in my world, poofs.

the internet is the bathroom stall of the world, if you have anonymity, no consequences and you are an opinionated ignorant person, you will voice those opinions.
Just hang in there, and avoid these people, I'm actually a bit surprised to see events like "Looking for a man (gay)" you just know some joker will show up at your yohouse and tell you what you're doing wrong with your life.

Sadly this is a issue, but its nothing that can really be done about it. Who ever is being attacked should just put their chin up and be proud who they are, don't let people who do not even know you hurt you. I know everyone has "freedom of speech and belief" but there is a time and place. If someone do not believe in 'gays' then keep it to themselves!

well i think g.ay folks should also respect straight folks...i have been at the altons and had guys pm me and ask me right up if i want to do the naughty with them and saying no doesnt always work...i have been hassled with game requests or friend requests after saying i wasnt interested. I have had to resort to using ignore on more than a few occasions when someone did not like my reply which was generally >>>> (no thanks).

The game is big enough for all kinds of people....and people standing about at the altons or at parties...regardless of gender should not be harassed for nookie by anyone...gay or straight

I am glad you feel better.Sad truth is some people have committed suicide because of being harassed online. I think a year or so back there was even someone who played Yo who killed herself because of online abuse. It happens more than people care to notice.Most just look other way.I tend to treat people as I want treated and like it or not we do show our true selves in YO.If we are mean and nasty in real life it shows up here in Yo.If we happen to be nice that shows also..
I been made fun of for things here ,I have gotten very upset but another player who became a friend talked to me and made me feel better and gave me some good tips on the subject..Be yourself if others don't like it oh well its there loss.They might be the ones missing out on knowing a great person and making a friend..
