You are correct again:"New people can swarm in but if they don't spend money"--- but you forgot to say, they don't spend money RIGHT AWAY.
I don't know about you, but I didn't spend anything on this game for about 5-6 month, when I started, until I knew for sure I liked this game. And I am sure I was not the only one, who wanted to get a feel for a game, before I spend any money on it.

And only thing NEW players right now would find out, that they need to spend & spend & spend TONS of real money to decorate 1 room.
What fun is that?

they don't spend money RIGHT AWAY. is not going t pay the light bill

I really don't understand all the drama about wanting to go backwards anyway! Why would you even want a new company to start back with old stuff? I would much rather see what BVG is going to come up with.
I don't even own any of the old collectibles anymore, I gave them all away a few years ago, but I still wouldn't want to see a re-release. I wouldn't want those valuable gifts I gave to my friends to become as common as toasters.

Collectibles are not on the table to be re-released. They were always available for a certain amount of time and then taken away, hence the name collectible. Items bought from the collectible category are the only items that should gain in value. Even with BVG created items, as soon as they are removed from the store they will fall prey to the current yoconomy.

The reason for re-releases is to create a sustainable yoconomy so new players and decorators don't have to spend a fortune decorating a room.

I find it interesting that with all the debate this topic has had...past and present and I'm sure the future too...the votes are pretty much equal. That's not to say that folks won't recruit friends to join forums just to vote, but as it stands and has stood until now, the votes are pretty much tied.
Seems there really isn't just ONE side of this that seems to dominate over the other. I like that.

It's is interesting to see that, despite the OP making the options biased, people are evenly divided on this issue.

Hey YoFans!

I understand that everyone has their own opinions and it's fun to compare them back and forth, but please make sure it's related to this post.

As much as I love food, I'd appreciate it if you could please take any discussions not related to YoWorld to the Off Topic forum.

Thanks everyone!

Re-releases are awesome sauce! Gives everyone a chance to own something they may have missed because they simply started the game later than others. There was once a time when people charged reasonable prices for collectibles, now they are outrageous. I totally support re-releases and the newer folks not getting the shaft! In the end, it is JUST A GAME.

Well at the end of the day...I don't think we really have to worry about re-releases. Bvg stated they more then likely wouldn't re-releases. And I really don't think they have any intent on re-releasing. I guess discussing it kind of gives everyone something to do lol

Could not disagree more - items were not practically unattainable for us like they are for new players.

They're not unattainable for anyone.

You tell me what player that starts today, for example, is ever...and I mean EVER...going to get 30m+ for a Yoro. I'll tell you when, never. Unless they plunk down about 300 real dollars to yocash deal.

No one needs to spend all that money on one item. They have to spend money and buy and sell to accomplish their goals. No one needs to walk in the game and have a yorothy or whatnot right off the bat.

The pricing on some items is so astronomically stupid it's absurd.

The worst one is the pink retros. They're almost as common as bait worms ffs

Actually, I think the bowl of stawberries is worse than that.

I wouldn't even pay 600k for organic strawberries.
