I was super angry at first and spit some venom, but I am resolved that whatever caused it, was serious enough to warrant the decision. BVG has too much to lose to do it just to irritate the chit out of all of us.

I have made it to Acceptance in the grief process. I hope you find it too.

Rod, I have to commend you for your posts on this thread. You have explained the situation very well and how these types of things can happen. You have great knowledge when things happen in the game. Thanks for your support and great knowledge.

Thx Miss Klutz. I try to find the facts about issues, but on this one they aren't going to be sharing them. I did post twice about what I think it was and those were removed within 15 seconds. So my guess is that those were probably the issue, and it fits with the gravity and immediacy of the decision.

It still sucks for Yo tho. The impact is eternal.

I don't think BVG is trying to do anything to any of us, they got a legal warning requiring them to shut it down immediately.

They definitely no longer communicate with the players the way they once did though. There's reasons for that in this litigation-happy world. I hope this all gets worked out in a positive way and not in a destructive one which is often how the internet now works. Too many bad actors are on the internet now for proper policing which leads to disasters sometimes. They simply can't stop the people who don't care about anyone but themselves and their needs.

Suggestion to those who are upset: don't leave for good. Just let out the steam. Try and stay with it in the sad case that the ship does go down. Take time away if needed--but let's stick together on this one.

In these last few years since BVG my frames haven't worked! what's that now Five plus years I gave up on you even trying to fix anything I just worked around it all. perhaps had you been listening to ppl when they have sent reports of abuse and you actually went to look into it you would find your culprits! ..BUT TO TAKE AWAY FROM ALL !! WE ALL KNOW THE REAL REASON!!! and plus all my RIDEABLES STILL DONT WORK HOW ABOUT THAT!!!!!!!!

I can at least help w/ the rideables - because I had the same issue ... make sure your walking is not set to anything.

First and foremost I wanted to say how sorry I am for all of us that lost so much of our important art. It will take time to heal, and it's almost like the grieving process...It will get better over time but never go away completely. That being said, I don't think BVG had any control over anything that has happened, and I am sorry that they too have to go through this with us. They did what they were forced to do and had to do it in silence or face the consequences. That much is apparent. They had nothing to gain from these actions, but had everything to lose, and they knew the reaction would be colossal. I just hope we can all see it for what it is, a sad and unfair conclusion to the actions of some selfish and irresponsible people and/or person and not the fault of the people that bring us the game we all love. I am still really angry with all of this, but know things could be far worse if we lost the game all together.

It's not cool that you used a blanket fix to address an individual issue.

I used pb's to personalize my rooms.

As a game player, I understand that my value is about as much to BVG as my comments here are.

My decision came after they stopped giving us full themes and so little store content per theme. I kept hoping that was just a temporary thing but since it's been close to 2 years I think it's permanent and they chose to put almost everything in the ge's, and gambling events as well as packs. I won't purchase the packs. If they can't bother putting it in the store I really don't need it. I love the game and can play without buying but part of the fun for me was going through the new decor releases and having a ton of stuff to choose from.

"With this particular discovery of a ToS violating complication in Paint Boards action needed to be swiftly taken, which meant that the underlying issue within Paint Boards arrived much sooner than we expected."

So they've known about the/an UNDERLYING ISSUE/VIOLATION, previously, and just were forced to do something 'much sooner than expected' - yet they didn't warn us/give us any hint about any 'upcoming' problem...that they knew about? And they never mentioned that "any change or update to the Paint Board feature means that any work on the item as it currently exists is lost." That tidbit could have been 'helpful' as they seem to have 'anticipated' a BIG problem...just thought it would happen LATER. And while people are upset that paint boards are gone, a large part of the upset is also because it came without any warning.

I mean, yeah, a warning about it before they shut them off would have been nice. I just wonder if this was so serious that they had to disable them IMMEDIATELY and if it was that urgent they couldn't warn us in advance they weren't able to leave them up long enough to take screen shots.

Probably. Andrew stopped in to give us that little update the other day and that's about it. I'd still love know what the story with that YoWorld/FishWorld poll is, but doubt we'll get an answer. Transparency is a thing of the past here. Sigh.

When BVG changed the darkened arrows to ones that are almost impossible to see, that was the beginning of the end for me and for many others who were creating adjoining theme rooms for tours of our decorated rooms. We were having so much fun with that and then, Whoosh, it was taken away, without warning and without hope that they would ever fix it back. My enjoyment of the game was gone and I stayed only to support my friends that were still playing.

So then comes the disabling of the picture frames and no hope in sight of ever having those restored. Again, more decorated rooms destroyed. Now to find out they wiped out our beloved paint boards without any warning to give us time to take screenshots for memories, is absurd. If there were people violating rules, my goodness, ban them like you've done for years to rule breakers, but don't take away another enjoyment of the game for honest players who did nothing wrong.

It's like you are intentionally making things harder and harder to want to even stay to play the game, even for free. Unless you are trying to chase us all off so you can close down the game and make it look like it was because everyone left?????

Rideable work they don't layer with player animation well. But cars work....try it and see

i saw before leaving for Germany that someone from here on forum had a trump campaign sign on their front yard and i was offended and wondered if it was against the rules but did not report it. I was goiing to remove her from buddy list which i realize seems a bit reactionary but had no idea all this was going on until i got back to US yesterday, politics do not belong in this game

I appreciate you responding back thank you. I like you haven't spent any money on those bundle packs ever for the same reasonings'. I want to choose the Items I like for decorating not what someone feels we all should have it's like living in a cookie cutter development and that is not my kind of thing. I'm not saying it's wrong I personally just do not like that. So, with that said I have spent less time in game and more in things I enjoy in my real life. I will be going away for a few weeks soon (camping) and taking my shoes off when I get there and feeling the earth between my feet And seen somewhere I think on FB or even in this thread can't remember where diamond painting sounds relaxing so giving it a whirl

No matter where we are in life we all are being controlled by someone higher than ourselves, but we do not have to feed into their wants, we can make our own choices. The ones who own this game make them not us, but we can choose to say enough and that is where I am at this point. I will be here until the end, but my wallet isn't opening like it used to, now that is my choice as they made their chooses to add to this game what they want as the owners and that is their right. So, I feel if players don't like that well don't click in.

I will always feel really bad about those who lost their art on paint boards and we ALL my really never know all the why's, we all can speculate which in the end doesn't matter it happened and I only hope they come up with some resolve I feel would be the right thing to do. But then if any lawyers are invalid not sure what they are told on how to handle this situation.

I mention it because it has been implied that those signs may be why we lost our art and the person with the sign that i know knows the TOS but put it up anyhow!

Here's the thing. As much as I hate this and am upset about it, they wouldn't have removed them if they didn't have to. I do agree they should be doing a better job of stopping the ones violating rules and causing harm. I don't think they have enough employees to keep things in check. If the game and its players were in danger, this is what they had to do. Not ideal, but better than ignoring it.

As far as trying to chase us off so they could close the game down and then blame us, I have heard that theory for as long as I can remember. I can't make sense of it. If they want to shutter the game, they can do it whenever they please. They don't need to have an excuse like not enough players. It could go bye bye at any time for any reason whenever they see fit. They have poorly managed it for years and suffered for their mistakes, and now they have to make things difficult to make more money.
