I won't purchase the packs. If they can't bother putting it in the store I really don't need it. The words in this set of posts are just perfect. The tone is exactly what I've had so many others tell me about their feelings towards their Yo experience. It's not one thing that anyone can identify that does it to them. It's all of it. The delivery methods. The lack of content. The huge disruptions in the few things that are still fun - paint boards. The gambling. Etc etc

And I love the line "...this isn't the game I grew to love..." It most certainly isn't. A few things have gotten better, but too many things have evolved in the wrong direction. And the serious hiccups like paint boards, only serve to wake people up so they realize just how far off center this game has gotten. Maybe the old Yo we love doesn't generate the revenue needed to keep it running? But that doesn't mean we don't still miss that. I think most of us plod along hoping for a glimmer of that part of the game every now and then.

Do you honestly think BVG would wipe out all paint boards for every player just because someone was posting anything political on some of them? Seriously?

They'd simply warn the player to stop it and be done with it. It is bigger than this. Same thing for regular porn. Same thing for doxing images. Something was an existential threat to BVG. There is only ONE thing that could be.

it is perfectly ok to be upset; no one is saying that

but youre focus might be in the wrong place. first internet law is a fast and rapid changing area of the law; so if legal its possible BVG didnt know and didnt have time

if it wasnt, it had to be something drastic and something that would have cause serious disrepair to the game

either way -- it was not BVG that broke their agreement with us; it was the players - a subset of players that for some reason feel the rules of this platform dont apply to them

so if you want to be upset with anyone, It might help to realize just how powerless we are when it comes to the actions of others in the community

I used to love camping when I was younger and we did it a lot. We haven’t in a long time. I’m too stiff to go and lay on even a blow up mattress any more. I hope you have a wonderful time. As to the diamond painting. Just to make sure you have all you need I recommend watching a video of one being done. They are very relaxing and a lot of fun but there are some tools that just make them a little bit simpler to do. Bring a tray that has a lip around the edge to work on because the darn little pieces can easily fall off the table. Good grief I have had to erase numerous message my grand puppy keeps trying to send you lol. She wants my attention and keeps tapping the keyboard. Silly little girl.

I love everything about nature it's just in my blood and I feel home when out in the elements of the wildlife. The songs that each bird sings brings me joy, so harmonious for my soul A lot of people here should try it, lol

I was shocked and didn't like it!.

Saw many things in events of perverted sexual titles! horrifying stuff! & reported it all!
I was told to report, I did and those events & WB remained, so I left yo! It was not my job, to police events, after I made owners aware of what was there, it was their job, i just want to decorate with my family.

After giving every item in my inventory to my closest friends.
10 yrs of collecting great stuff!! All the money & vip items I bought, all for nothing. But I didn't want to stay due to all the inappropriate goings on!!

I let it be known I was angry about all of that. & wasn't able to play until march 2024.
Started over. BV asked me to rejoin, so I did.
My 12 year old great niece had a FB account. & all her friends did too... she's now 24, she played yo when she was 12! So I did not want her to see that stuff.

Me: almost 71 now, play now with my 2 sisters, and i do NOT go to events! I did not buy any this time WB.

I feel sorry for the innocent players who did not abuse it.

thanks for sharing that ... I too im of a more mature age. We use to have groups, I think there are still some -- where those of us of a slightly more mature age could gather and have a chuckle. This is tragic and I hope no one was hurt emotionally by the actions of those reckless players breaking tos.

Do we really know it was players? I have seen no explanation that fits so far. They should not be foolish and not explain. I don't think it was political. There is NO free speech in Britain, did you know that? The USA has free speech and politics IS free speech, so maybe they couldn't take it, but if so, they may be violating OUR rights if it is political.

No proof at all that it wasnt political art boards or faces that caused this. BVG has left many to speculate and form theories that it nvolved something extremely officially sick and criminal and involving children. But No proof!? But the days leading up to the disabled boards Trump art by MANY requests - looked like they were selling like hot cakes, and player got all upset with a seller for having them and threatened to report. 1-2 days later.... Voila. Timing wise. So yeah were going to speculate because BVG has given no valid reason for the detruction they caused. And as far as anyone offended by Trump boards that many players Ive seen requesting asking for...... do you know how much diversity is on here? They had a White house theme Obamas face in frames masks and some of their free items over time are from a certain political side and stance released into this game. So politics was already in this game without players bringing it themselves, personal beliefs and views and stances even social issues. I usually ignored what didnt interest me, Im not a Trump fan-- nor right or left they both equally suck -both parties but I didnt get offended at obamas face on here or if I see a Trump sign BIG DEAL! lol I carry on enjoying my game I OR I did up until now. ? Do you honestly think BVG would wipe out all paint boards for every player just because someone was posting anything political on some of them? Seriously?

They'd simply warn the player to stop it and be done with it. It is bigger than this. Same thing for regular porn. Same thing for doxing images. Something was an existential threat to BVG. There is only ONE thing that could be.

Oh and I warned them about that threat a decade ago.......

The worst case scenarios I was thinking that law enforcement or courts would get involved with were rather set in a different light by learning authorities would not just ask for the removing of the PB medium but the game itself. I believe this was a necessary and immediate, no time to pause, pre-emptive action on BVG's part.

So our options are the same as they always are. Deal with it or move on. You can vent if it makes you feel better, but it's obviously not changing. It's an awful thing for Yo to endure. I enjoy paint boards and how they were used to extend creativity in decorating. I will miss that very much. I too have some that were gifts or purchases from Yos that are no longer in this world. I was super angry at first and spit some venom, but I am resolved that whatever caused it, was serious enough to warrant the decision. BVG has too much to lose to do it just to irritate the chit out of all of us.

I have made it to Acceptance in the grief process. I hope you find it too.

Rod, I have to commend you for your posts on this thread. You have explained the situation very well and how these types of things can happen. You have great knowledge when things happen in the game. Thanks for your support and great knowledge.

Thx Miss Klutz. I try to find the facts about issues, but on this one they aren't going to be sharing them. I did post twice about what I think it was and those were removed within 15 seconds. So my guess is that those were probably the issue, and it fits with the gravity and immediacy of the decision.

It still sucks for Yo tho. The impact is eternal.

Probably. Andrew stopped in to give us that little update the other day and that's about it. I'd still love know what the story with that YoWorld/FishWorld poll is, but doubt we'll get an answer. Transparency is a thing of the past here. Sigh.

If this was as serious as I believe and now think I know, and I am not going to say on the boards or to anyone I don't already trust, they may never be able to tell us for serious legal reasons. So trust BVG did this for responsible reasons and conscience.
