It really doesn't bother me. My experience is that kids know more ways to swear than I do. You know what they say ... you learn something every day.

Tone, however, is all important. If someone is intending to be rude or contemptuous, it's the motivation that's offensive, rather than acronyms. Intention is everything. That's my humble opinion anyway.

I have a teen daughter. that should say it all but I will explain sum what ...

For me to keep on top of what she does on-line with her fb or twitter or instagram or what have you.. I watch over her like a hawk. I always tell her that whatever she puts down in type online is there for LIFE so be careful! Her future employer may read what she writes online one day.. so to be extra careful and respectful with her words. thank goodness, she is. makes this mommy proud.

Kay that being said. when I over see her.. online ..adventures, I see ALL the different acronyms that are out there and there are a lot and they (that generation) are adding new ones each and everyday. I keep google handy when I want to know what some actually mean.

I swear I've picked up so many of these acronyms that when I'm texting I don't even realize I'm using them anymore.

Its a changing world indeed.
