I remember when even 20k was a lot, so I never was able to afford the pink retros!

I remember waiting for the 2009 Halloween things to be released since I love Halloween but the 08's were even too pricey for me at the time lol

My first "BIG" purchase was a 09 Medium Blue Bear for 35k and that was a big deal :haha:

Oh and the time when we could be out in YO and it would show us if someone was in our apt, I would have to go home and see because did not want to be rated down by some mean person  :haha:

I kinda miss the old days but love how the game has evolved and now can make our avi's look more like our personalities

my 1st big purchase was the green soda pop handheld.. I still own it to this day.

my 1st big purchase was ninja for 300k .. sold many free gifts and grey carpets to make 300k wich was alooooooot back then :haha:

Also, The only zynga thing I miss, is that the items were better, the hair more was more creative. They were a really janky, money grabbing company. The employee's hated it, they would try to create a ton of new games without fixing bugs to the current games, they only really made money one yr, they did not care about us at all. BVG is a way better company so I'm glad the switch happened. Google why zynga went down the tubes. Idk why they didn't just put some effort into the games they had. SMH.

I started Yo on Myspace, I remember building furniture in the factory, burning cookies in the bakery.. I remember how excited I got to by my first house, and the first time I bought yocash even after telling myself I wasn't going to buy any. I played the game for quite some time, and then I guess I got bored with it and stopped playing at some point. about 3 years ago, I was bored on FB and decide to see if Yoville was around any more, so I did a search and Yoworld popped up and have been playing daily since.
I never participated in the chat aspect of the game, and have pretty much spent my time buying houses and decorating full time. I used to get excited about the themes, but in the past year or so I've stopped participating in them and have skipped out on quite a few themes. I log in daily now, and decorate and collect my coins then move on, really only anticipating 3 theme times a year, Fall, Halloween, and Christmas!

I was logged into MySpace trying to move stuff to Facebook at the moment MySpace poofed. That was a bit surreal - got a 'refresh page' & suddenly the whole thing was no more.

I've played most of the time since, although I took a year off due to an accident around the time BVG was going to take over. I just didn't have the time or inclination to deal with whether or not the game would continue with other rl things going on.

My favorite thing was helping make the huge photo loops and 'whiteboard loop' for leveling up. I figured out if you put a hundred or so bait worms behind the whiteboard, you got max points with very little lag. I was quite into the social aspect of the game at the time, but these days I spend most of my time decorating.

I got all my stuff moved in time.

I remember having a teleport door joining my 2 accounts! ;)

I started back in '09. I wish new releases came slowly like they used too. I love to decorate, but I feel bombarded by new themes or releases as often as they do them now. I like to take my time and visit around to my friends' places and see what they've created there. Side note: I sure don't miss trying to earn coins at the bakery.

I'm ancient on Yo and in real life. I still enjoy both even though I have to put up with a few more pains in both these days. :)

Back when I first started, I never socialized, never did the buying and selling aspect, only got a few daily gifts as I only had about 30 friends and only bought coin stuff from the store that I could decorate with. All I did was stay in my own house and decorate. My old homes look so bad, they all need redoing because I used whatever freebies I got and remember thinking the girly girl theme was pretty! :haha: But, the thing is...I was happy with the game and had no complaints!

Then I was away from 2012-2016 (Mom passed away, had no internet while living far away settling the estate and then I just never got back to it once I was home and grieving). When I finally came back, I thought I was so extremely rich to find I had a million coins left sitting in my acct that I had saved. Then I found out the old stuff I was drooling over from themes I missed (which I bought homes for, before realizing the furniture for them was no longer in the store) were all extremely inflated and I would only be able to buy 1 to 4 items for my million coins. So many amazing themes had come out in 2013 and the awesome Halloween in 2015 and I wanted to decorate with all of them! :wailing: :grr

I realized I could never make enough coins to buy the old stuff and keep up with current themes, so I started buying cash deals and I would pick up old theme furniture in the AH one piece at a time, as I saved and decorated slowly. This worked well for awhile because BVG gave much better deals (even with the 30 % extra I always pay for being Canadian) but then they drastically lowered the coin amts in them, lowered the YC amt and raised their prices, so now it doesn't buy half what it used to. :'(

We now can make coins easier than we used to, but it really takes a toll on my arthritis and my energy level with all the clicking for ads, calendars, visits, etc and then gem events introduced on top of it all to try to able to get what you need to decorate with. And then all the vaulting began, as well. All of that has become so time consuming that I never seem to have the energy or motivation to just decorate anymore, which is what I loved about the game. :sleepy:

It's all become way too overwhelming. So now I skip doing new themes, because I can't afford it and the vaulting. I only buy when items go on 50 % off or are leaving the store. I hate hoarding but never wanted to get to the point again where items that were discontinued became beyond my price range, so I hoard and can barely open my inventory. I really miss my original, relaxing decorating game, where I would buy a home and then explore the store for items and put it together. I hate that in order to get furniture now, there is a list of chores to do and so much being held in gambling types of events and then hunting down items I am never lucky enough to win. It's like a never ending game of crazy making :dizzy:

I wish the game could go back to where we had less releases but they were better quality, all items were put in the store (even if they were on timers) and I could just pay BVG a decent, but not monthly grocery bill like amt, to buy and decorate, again. I miss the relaxing aspect of this game. It has become more of a job that I pay for instead of getting paid and causes me pain on top of that. But I still can't quit it. Maybe it's stubbornness, maybe its hope, maybe it's insanity. :silly:

BTW, Taurus, after I came back you had a contest asking for players to tell you there favourite Christmas memory. I won and the coins you gave me helped a lot when I was looking for all those old items, so thanks again for that!

TL/DR - Lori still likes Yoworld but finds it so overwhelming with the chores, gambling, vaulting, clicking, etc and wishes BVG would go back to putting all the items in the store and let her just pay them a reasonable amount of real money to buy them, so she could get back to having a relaxing decorating game, again.

Yep been around since early 09' lots of changes for sure...I also started with MySpace, but when things changed over, I didn't know what to do, so lost things, but I'm good now, still trying to keep up and have a ton of houses that still need to be either filled or deleted. I wish that we could gift those away or sell them back. But still, I am good.

Started playing in dec 08 on my main fb page. I have a lot of old photos from then with old friends, but none get on anymore. I restarted playing about a month ago since 2014.

Remember when the widget machine worked.....wish they would bring that back

And I have literally hundreds of unopened treasure chests.....wish they would let us open those ….a sort of amnesty with prizes.
