So in the TOS that you agreed to when you opened your account in Yo, you released the game's operator from any liability when they had to make changes to Yo for any reason. And since we don't "own" anything in Yo, all we've lost is our lease to the paint boards. Technically, we enjoyed that lease from the time we bought the paint board until BVG had to remove them. So we did receive some value from having it. The expectation that we get to enjoy the lease to our items in perpetuity is false. Accusing them of theft is false.
You are allowed to speculate about the cause of their removal, just as we all are. But sure, they decided to upset the entire player community for political reasons centered around the guy you mentioned. According to him, everything revolves around him anyway. So why not! LOL

I don't know what to unpack first with this. Your conspiracy theory and your inquiry about filing a lawsuit are equally . . . eh. You really drove it home with the "WOKE" stuff. Way to go. I'm not touching that.![]()
If you want to understand things, try reading or at least skimming through this thread. You might learn something instead of spouting conspiracy theories and anti "woke" stuff.

I'm sorry and I know how much this all sucks, but unless/until they can figure out a solution, it will be at best indefinite waiting and at worst permanent. I'm by no means downplaying your or anyone's feelings about this and I feel equally upset and frustrated. But realistically, if they have any sort of plan to restore them and recode them so they can't be abused or implement something that can catch the bad things right away and shut them down, we're going to be waiting., sadly.I don't think they are capable of a quick fix/restoration

WTF? So you are angry at "WOKE" peeps over playing politics and now insert your obvious politics into the game? lol lol
let me font style this so you can understand it better
IT HAD ZERO TO DO WITH POLITICS. PERHAPS START AROUND WHERE THOSE ON THIS TOPIC BEGIN TALKING ABOUT ACTUAL, POSSIBLE LEGAL REASONS WHERE BVG WAS FORCED TO DO THIS.
"Legal" as in consult Websters.

Good gosh can we not have an intelligent, graceful, and inspiring person who isn't retirement age to vote for? Is that asking too much? I guess so.........
I'd be entertained by it all if the consequences of whoever wins weren't so significant. Oh wait, rich people will win either way. Never mind........

I can't do the ageism thing, My hubby is 19 yrs older than me at 81. While he might be absentminded or forget that movie etc he is in full control of his decision making and how he feels about things. That's why judging people's abilities and minds by age does not work, which is also my not saying I agree on forum or not about that candidate who is not the one who believes he is the sun of his own solar system.

Actually, i have no issue with age but i am very concerned that we do not see many qualified and/or inspiring rising up to run in the future. too much fear out there i think.

I'm very much an ageist. I see the decline in people all the time from it, both professionally and personally. They lose not just energy, but also creativity, adaptability, flexibility, focus, and drive. I realize there are exceptions, but as a rule it's a bad plan. We have 2 perfect examples of the risk - a couple of mentally soft old dudes who should be arguing over what channel the tv is on in the rec room instead vying for the US presidency. They should debate each other in rocking chairs on a porch.
The problem with finding younger candidates who are qualified is based in the seniority (reverse ageism) picks made by party leadership. They pick their buddies for better roles, who are all as old or older than they are. The "new" candidates have to "earn" it by serving time - thus eliminating them from presidential contention based on experience. The other reality is that we expect perfection in the people chosen. And there are so few adults who haven't committed some "electability" sin along the way. They've either spouted something at one point that someone saw as racist/sexist/elitest/dumb/cruel etc etc etc. Everything is recorded now, so their mistakes are documented for eternity. Nobody forgives because no one is allowed to forget - thanks to our entertainment based media.
Politics are one of my favorite topics, often because they are so polarizing. People tend to pick a team and ride or die with it, not understanding that both teams are the problem. They are out of control.
LisaTM (10095126) wrote:Fallacious argument, sorry. You are using the standard both sides excuse. I'm not saying either side is perfect, but there is a huge difference if you can be bothered to pay attention. I'm not going to name names for examples, but there are plenty. The fact that you enjoy polarizing topics and the both sides argument says a lot about how little you understand what's at stake. I'm not going to touch that any further.
As for the ageism and your admitting to being an ageist, hey at least you're honest. It's also fallacious to assume younger people will be better. There are plenty of rotten younger ones. You think everyone else is the problem, but your attitude is a huge part of the problem. I could go on and on explaining how this all works, but it's a waste of time and would be lost on you.

What's at stake is which fox gets the keys to henhouse. But they will still steal our eggs and occasionally eat one of us. Tis true there are bad options in every age bracket. There's also something to be said for the wisdom age and experience is supposed to bring.
None of it is lost on me. There is only one joystick and both parties use the excuse they need it to keep the other side from crashing the plane. The problem is that neither party knows how to fly anymore. But as long as they keep us at each other's throats over which team should get the joystick, we'll ignore the real problem - them. They no longer govern. They pander. They serve special interests and the wealthy, and no longer take care of the people with anything but words.
I realize the Oompa Loompa is caustic, rude, and insane. But I also realize the Marionette is dry, lost, and a puppet. Both are extreme threats to good leadership. I write in my vote every time, because I can't be part of either plane crash. And maybe that is "give up"? But I refuse to vote for incompetent people. The system is broken and the people lose every time.

Pandering words designed to elicit support for one team by creating fear about another. I'm not minimizing the fear, because that loose cannon is liable to do ANYTHING that lines his pockets. But the other team uses the same language to create fear of the other option. And those fears are also just possible.
We have to get beyond the fear to see what is really happening. It's simply a contest over money, influence, and power that uses the people as pawns. Nothing really ever changes unless it can effect how the parties get access to more money, influence, and power. They usually get there with words alone, but occasionally they are forced to deliver some actual change. But that is rare.
