one is very old and has a frame around it like a dry erase board

thanks Loie, so basically the only difference is the border and cost.

Not just that, but also the colors and tools. The paint boards have the whole color palette; like every color possible. They also have an option for a transparent background so you can draw an item without it being framed like in the whiteboards. And tools like lines, a slider for the lines to make them thinner or thicker, a draw, paint, etc. The whiteboards only have a few colors and no tools. Big difference.

The biggest problem with the removal of the paint boards is the fact that the picture frames don't work. I have used the paint boards to "label" items, homes, and areas of my rooms. With the paint boards gone, I was going to just add pictures for my labels and since the frames don't work, I can't use anything. For example, I have a farm home which is a copy of a real farm I had at one time. I had paint boards to label the names of my horses that were on that farm. I have kept in game because it is often a diary of my life. I have pictures of special people and things that mean a lot ot me to have in game! I have never cheated on a paint board, have always just drawn my own. It is unfair to have both paint boards and frames not working. Fix the picture frames AND correct the paint boards.

You had me soooooooooo excited.
I had so many murals emptied from these breaking.
So I tried to add some o my Alice in Wonderland images back in my picture frames in my starter apartment living room.....and found mine are still broken sadly.

Image

you need to update them on facebook, save and then you will see them in the app, you can't fix them in the app though

Sooooooo
I tried again today, since I'm hearing so many are working again, so I decided to try going in through facebook and loading up my frames from the images I have stored in my facebook photo gallery.
AND for the first time in years, IT WORKED.
Now I'm watching to see if they stay in working order. I am also hearing they fix themselves temporarily then revert back to empty.
I'll be watching and report what happens in my account
This is the FIRST encouraging sign I've seen with these in a very long time.
I hope they are fixed....I'll be going around my many homes and restore the murals I have in many of my older homes.........so pumped over this!!

Heading for my apartment on Yoworld.com to see if the images are there on the ,com too

YES....after refreshing the game once and logging in through Yoworld.com, my images I just restored in my starter apartment are still holding on and showing in their brass frames.

Will see how it looks in the morning before spending any time going through and reloading all my frames...I have their images all saved in my facebook photo gallery!!

such a total waste of my time and cash. all you had to do was ban the players that were making obscene pictures, but you had to hurt everyone. I have stopped playing except to transfer my belongings and will never buy anything from BVG again.

So BVG makes more money. That's it, pure and simple. If the company were decent, it would stop selling them AND the picture frames. I bet they are still available too.

Sp what are we to do for this indefinite period while waiting for news of a new paintboard or compensation (only of value if usable in the real world, cos why would we give BVG more money by "playing"?) I'm not giving BVG any money unless I get all my paintboards back and usable. We have to keep visiting for some slim hope of "progress" and allowing BVG to make money off ad views as time passes indefinitely? This company is craven.

No I won't. I'm a 63 year old adult, not a child. The paintboards and picture frames were the only way we could achieve what we were creating over many years. It's all worthless now. Might as well have burned the thousands of dollars in the street. And thinking of the thousands of hours wasted makes me physically ill. Assume what you will, for me, there is absolutely NO point without the boards and frames. Everything else is nothing more than boring, anonymous, vapid, and meaningless Viking Paint By Numbers. If that suits you, bless you. I paid dearly for more than that VPBN garbage.

YoCash doesn't help those whose use of YW depends on the paintboards. What am I going to do with YoCash when the site cannot offer me a worthy product? No. There needs to be a real-world reimbursement for the customers this decision has blocked from participation.

I'm going to try to break this down as simply as possible for you. And I'm quite aware of the fact that they are in the business of making money, so no need to explain this. That is what businesses do.

First, they wouldn't have disabled the boards if there wasn't a serious need to. It was a matter of safety for the game and for the players. This has been discussed to death at this point.

Second, the frames are connected to FACEBOOK and not YoWorld. They were coded by Zynga and I'm not sure if BVG can create their own version or recode them. Would it be nice? Yes. Is it possible? Not sure. The goal is clearly to finally get off of Facebook and make sure the frames and boards don't compromise the game and the players. Whether BVG is capable or not of doing this is anyone's guess.

Third, business, craven or not. In this case, a tiny business. They didn't manage it well and there were outside factors, so this is where we are. I think we're past the point of hope of them reviving the game, but I don't feel like encouraging players to stop spending, boycott, quit, tank BVG is the answer. I would love it if some other company would buy us and fix everything. In the current climate, it's unlikely to happen. But encouraging players to make sure we never get back to the fun days isn't going to solve any of it.

She's broken half a dozen rules with her posts and no one seems to be shutting her down. Calling someone's ranting tantrum exactly what it is after they called me names when I was politely trying to help, seemed appropriate.

That they were a large part of our creations I won't deny. If the rest of the creative process isn't enjoyable to you and there's no point in playing for you without the boards and frames, it is what it is. No one has or did force you to play a game you don't enjoy. For a "63 year old adult" (as opposed to a 63 year old child?), you are throwing tantrums. I'm not condescending, I'm not a "conformist" and I rarely side with the one you're quoting.

Your rants are not remotely constructive. I understand that BVG doesn't pay attention to our constructive criticism anymore and it's frustrating. But you're not doing anything to help. You're doing your best to ensure the game tanks for the sake of retaliation.
