I've gotten over 50k+ worth of stuff from the AH for 2k or less, mostly because i look for small res prices.. I'm just wondering if this is scamming or taking advantage of the situation. I mean, it's the person's fault for starting off the prices so low in the first place... Like once i got a handheld for 400c becuase the res was low lol and i looked on guide and it said 20k-30k.. I just feel like i'm scamming because i don't bid far from the res price.

Its called getting a deal.
You don't go to a store and see something for really cheap and
know its more expensive at the other store and feel bad do you?
If they post it for a low res, and its sells low.. that's on them.
Basically the whole point of an auction, you sometimes end up
selling the item for lower than its worth, sometimes higher. :)

I agree with Veronica. And since it's the AH, it's not like you can tell the seller "hey, that is waaay too cheap". And besides, you can't be sure that they don't have multiples of the item and are just trying to get rid of them. Say 10 Hail Mary's and call me in the morning.

Exactly. There is no such thing as "worth" in AH.

Yes, I have heard many people say they list things with low buy now prices just to pass along good things to random strangers. Good luck.

That is the risk the seller takes.. They pop a low cost on it. Hoping people are gonna bid like mad on it, making it a popular item and moving it closer to the front of the sales. But if no one is intersted in the item. This often fails and you can scoop up the rewards. No one forcing the sellers to list it so low. I always set a reserve :)

The hat above had a 50k buy out price. I've scored many items with low BINS. :?

I've gotten tons of deals in there. Once bought a vday balloon for 500c... 2009 vday balloon. Bought tons of stuff for good prices but if I didn't, someone else would've. So, it's just a deal, man. I didn't persuade anybody into selling to me for 500c. That's the way that I look at it.

Well, I know for a fact that there are some who put items in the AH at very low prices, to offset the crazy ones. You can't take advantage of someone being generous. ;)
