I am a 41 year old girl, i was raised by parents who instilled in me manners, etiquette and respect towards people of all walks of life. For the most part, the game is fun and enjoyable but there are time when i like many of you on game have seen some dead awful behaviour.
I really enjoy playing Yoworld and i enjoy the social interaction that comes with playing this rather unique game and I feel since it has that essence of human socialness about it as we all connect with each other from all over the world. I feel that even though there are many of us are congenial. I feel that a lesson in good old fashioned etiquette such as Netiquette and manners needs to be taught.

And all of you here must of witnessed some disgusting behaviour from other players in game. Should we the other players enforce it or should BVG. Because I am scared that people are getting hurt.

I have seen many people tease new players. I knew that was mean, but I didn't step up and protect him or her. I feel quite guilty most of the times, but few other times I have seen kind people gift new players stuff. I hate it when I see people tease other new players just because they think they are rich and such. Especially those who boast they have like 300,000,000,000,000 coins.(◣_◢)

But nonetheless, I totally agree with you, and if I may, I will support you. (⌒o⌒)

Absolutely needed but I doubt it could be made mandatory. Events bring out the worst behavior. Everyone screaming at the owner, screaming at each other, swearing etc. I recall a sales event I hosted once, where peeps would not speak one at a time, and where rude to me and each other. I got so fed up, I just said the "Sale is closed" and poofed! :o

thank you for the replies ladies and gentle men.. and I am glad I am not alone on this issue either... since i began here in 2009, I've been witnessed absolute horrendous behaviour and seen innocent people minding their own business or even asking for help get abused by senior players and vice versa..and i would like to see the good folks given some sort of power to step up by Gary.... would that be at all feasible?

as fer pogo???erm, I don't believe I've ever heard of it... is it like jumping on sticks?

My mom always taught me that if I can't say something nice (or do something nice) then say (do) nothing at all.

I find people on the forum have more manners in general than people in the game. Seems funny... I guess I only run into mostly jerks, lol.

Thanks mate! It was either MasterChef (like the TV series... i was gunna change me name to "Inelegant Snort" but BVG wouldn't accept it)I like your name as well and to all of you thank you again for supporting this thread!

As for netiquette, I feel that its just as important as etiquette and manners out in the big wide world... I mean no one excepts any of us to be el perfecto, ie burping, cracking a fat etc But in my own experience when you say 'please' or 'thank you' etc it makes other people smile or it gives the ill-mannered ones a shock. I remember once when i was buying a hamburger... I asked "may I have a burger please?" and when i handed him the change I said "thank you" and then said "thank you" again. When the young fella handed the burger to me he gave me a look like i came from a different planet! And that's the sort of experiences that all of us i reckon have come across on the game...

PS. Pogo? Is that like the Pogo stick and ya go jumpin' around like a kangaroo?

I think it should be left to BVG since they have post a sticky about bullying at the top of this forum.. it is clear they will not tolerate it and even remove accts. If someone misbehaves just report the post.

I agree with you snorty! darn shame you couldn't use that name cause you used it ever since I joined.

I truly don't think it's just young'uns that are rude and ill mannered. I find older people are that way too. I believe it all comes from the manners your parents, grandparents or some other adult taught to you.

It's a sad fact. I just keep reporting the rude and ill mannered. If enough yos do that, maybe the rude ones will be given warnings or a short
time out to learn how to play well with others.

1. There will only ever be one Snorty - and she is going by the name Voldersnort at the moment.
2. Pogo is a games site.
