As of when? I am still able to do it. If you can't, you might just need to disable your chrome flash under settings. That always worked when chrome updated. Just make sure you're disabling your chrome flash and not the flash app itself.

I haven't been able to do it as well. And I'm not quite sure how to disable chrome flash... will have to check it out. I love decorating the older coin homes.

I wish we could just decorate in the spaces. I know some FG are allowed in those spaces. I wish all items were.

Oh :( I haven't tried yet today. Let me see if mine works and if not, I'll try to post instructions for changing your settings.

TYVM. I really dislike all the black area. Loved the lil trick for blocking it out.

Well, mine is still working fine. I did go into chrome settings to try to see how to change it but it's different now. If you can get into the plugin settings, you will see 2 flash settings. One is your computer's flash and the other is the plugin for chrome. You can identify them by looking at the address thingie - one is your hard drive one. Don't disable that but disable the flash plugin one. If that still works. Hope I was helpful, but it's been a while since I've had to do it and it might not be the case anymore.

Hi, I am using coolnovo, which is an upgrade from chrome. It is a free download - I love it, and you can put things in the black spaces by:

pull the item you want to place in the room, from your inventory, all the way to the right, like even partly off the page, with your left mouse button only clicked...then click on your right mouse so that you have both clicked on it - a column of words will come up, ignore them completely - then just point your cursor to the place you want your item, left click and it is there: - don't give up, if the first few times you do it, you don't get it done, cause once you DO - it is such fun, and so easy to decorate the entire room. I agree with the person that said they wished they could just decorate the entire room - I mean, why are there black spaces anyway??? if you can't get this - I will try to find the tape on it I have on my wall

Thank you, that is the same method I used. But now its not working for me. I pretty much stick to just chrome. I hate bogging my computer down with excessive browsers. I may have to look into another one though.

In chrome.. Type in about : plugins (with no spaces) into your address bar and hit enter. The page that comes up, at the top, should be the Adobe plugins. Disable the one that has pepperflash in its file name.
Close the browser and open a new one. You should be able to left/right click into the black spaces.
