I love to event hop. I love seeing what people are selling. What I have noticed is there are a lot of 08/09 Rare and Collectible sales. The other thing I have noticed is they all basically have the same things. So really what are rare things? Lots of people use the word to describe things that can be found easily in my opinion. Does the price make them rare?

My favorite sales are the ones not really labelled as rare......the Mixed/Discontinued sales. Seems to me that those sales actually hold the rare items. Yocash things from closed out themes and decorator items that are tough to find.

So what is your definition of rare in Yoworld? I can think of many things that I would consider rare and none of them are 08 items.

'Rare' has always been over-used and exploited as a selling point around here. Rare to me... those river pieces from some theme I missed, eons ago, lol. I never see them for sale, never see them in anyone's decor.

The only "rares" at the moment in my eyes, are pretty much every furniture item in Fairytale Fantasy.

I go to the sales ALL the time! Same things, collectibles and such. I buy them if they look cool, not because they're rare. The other day I bought an elephant head cuz I liked it.

To me a rare item is something you rarely see, obviously, it's not so popular and not many have it. They're hard to get and if you want one you gotta work for it!

So, which is more rare? A throne or the swoop couch from the Victorian theme?

I bet I could go in game right now and make an event and buy a throne......how long do you think it would take me to find the Victorian couch? Just as an example......

All the 08/09 sales have the same items I agree. I think the rarest items are the 2012-2013 YC furniture that is out of stores. Less people were playing then with the decline of Z.

Swoop couch is more rare. Because it's not deemed as some kind of status symbol.

I have a few of those pieces, but yeah they are pretty scarce. I dont have many. Coins were harder to come by back then for me.

I just dug around to find them. Enchanted theme... yeah, I totally missed that one. And the Beach theme. Two that I would have loved above all others, lol. And you are right, Nyx, I probably would have been too broke to enjoy. :lol:
