As far as I understand it, this beloved game of ours is struggling to survive. Zynga dumped it, obviously cause it wasn't bringing in enough revenue. I do believe Zynga lost a lot of players (my self included) for what ever reasons, most likely miss management.
BVG has taken pitty on us and has saved us. They have cleaned the game up, chucked out the riff raff. How do we show our appreciation? We spend a little real money, what ever you can spare.
I do get somewhat irritated by those who brag they have never spent a dime on the game. Well here's a message. You are a big part of the reason Zynga let it go. You are not helping anyone, not me, not the game, and not even yourself, when all the rares you are hoarding poof when the game gets closed down. I'm not saying everyone should buy yc - that would be ideal. I understand too that folks are waiting for a release to spend yc on. But those bragging that they have never spent a dime ever yet own every yc item out there. Well thats called free loading in the real world ain't it?

If they're bragging they've never spent because they didn't have to, it's annoying. Those who absolutely couldn't spend but still got ahead...I understand their point but it's still not cool. A company needs to make money to stay in business. However, I wouldn't go as far as to say the game is struggling just yet. People are spending again and it's really just the beginning. BVG is still testing things out and hiring designers. Once everything is in place, I have no doubt it will be successful.

I hope your right - and yeah its the folks who brag about never spending a dime - because ya know, they get it else where. From their Yomama or Yopappa. Then complain about YC rates. That makes me LOL.

I understand completely where you're coming from.
Though, the title isn't quite correct. This game isn't struggling
to survive at all. It's fresh, and building up.. ofcourse theses things take time.
As nice as it would be for everyone to blow their real money on a virtual game,
sometimes its not ideal. Bills, household items, necessities, etc come first.
Personally, i've been waiting to buy yc till I see a theme/items I like.
Just because all of us isn't buying yc doesn't mean we aren't showing support.
No one can expect people to buy yc when they aren't fond of items that are being released..

Don't blame ALL of YoWorld's decline on Zynga. They were busy managing about 8 different games, and have owned it for years. BVG is just here to clean things up, and make it more modernized.

I don't put much in the ones that say "I don't have a credit card" we didn't either , we went round to the brothers he has a paypal account, i gave him real cash money he stuck the yc on his account , ok so he paid Z and we paid him we still got our YC.
then there are game cards if we can buy FB game cards in our backwater town then most can
whats the cheapest game card $5 , I was getting $5 pocket money umm well 30 plus years ago so I'm sure kids now get way more than that or they can get mommy or daddy to get one

Nothing will get you nothing. If you don't support the game financially, it may not last.

I do the best I can to support the game I love. Times are tough for my boyfriend and I, but I do my best to help support the game and I will continue to do so!

Im only speaking for myself, but its kinda hard to buy yc, when i got other things to pay for, and im not getting much income to begin with. Do i wanna some? Absolutly. Can i do so at the moment? No, because of being finacially tight. I often feel guilty for being a "free loader" but, oh well, maybe ill get a job soon. Meh.

Yes, it irks me when people complain about rates! If you refuse to spend, no right to whine!

When I reg Gregs post - and the numbers and the cost of running the game on a month to month basis. I do believe, things may be up in the air sooner or later. But they did say they weren't giving up yet.

I'm talking about people who been playing for yrs and yrs - own every yc item and all the rares, sitting there bragging they never spent a dime of real money. That annoys me. Why should we all support the fat cats, who have moth balls in their wallets? I am hoping that the 5% of those buying yc is just since BVG has taken over. More will spend soon I hope, and I do believe some folks are still sitting on YC from Zynga's depature, since there hasn't been a lot to spend it on, with lack of realses. I'm not heartless I understand those aspects.

I'm in the same boat, Country. But I've never seen you complain about yc rates so you're ok :)

This game is my timeout, my time to chill and relax... So I will buy yocash and I always find something to buy. Now that I know the game needs us to be buying yocash I will do that as well.

I understand that not everyone can do this...and maybe a few years back I wouldn't have been able to do it. But for now I can and so I shall.

I am sure with your attitude you don't sit there bragging to folks you have never spent a dime, or complaining about yc rates to those who sell? I absolutely understand people fall on hard times.. Yc ain't that cheap either. But I'm sure you can get where i'm aiming at right?

only yc items I like are flippin discontinued so its coins in AH
I could buy some more yc now but then it would be burning out the sides of my yopockets and I like to save it for some real good xmas items (my fav theme) yeah I've spent some but I'm not big on buying clothes actually selling most of my older clothes off atm
::edited because I left out a p

I completly understand ya hun. I just wanted to explain my situation tho, there is a difference between not wanting to, an not being able to. You are right tho. It irks me to no end when someone can afford to, but brags they dont support, an then has the gahonies to sit and complain.

Everybody's situation is different $5 to one person is gum money, to another it's breakfast, lunch and dinner. We all contribute when we can. Some every month, some occasionally. We really should not have to defend or feel we have to defend ourselves if at the moment we cannot buy or don't need to buy yocash. However I must agree, bragging about NEVER buying yocash yet having all the yc items can rub some the wrong way. The game needs real money to continue. If everyone who played spent just $5 every now and then, this came would be golden. JMO
