Alongside the pets re-release come the obligatory tears.

Yoworld's economy is in tatters and people are hanging on to the past for all its worth. It is time to let go and embrace the future of the game.

Under Zynga's watch hackers and price jackers ran the yoconomy into the ground. People took advantage of the psuedo Laissez-faire economy that was birthed in Z's outhouse to the point that a culture of entitlement has become entrenched among certain players.

If Yoworld is to survive the yoconomy needs to be rebooted. In it's current form it is unsustainable. Something needs to give. If the economy is to be rebooted items need to be devalued. The only items that should not be re-released are collectibles. Everything else is fair game.

The pet store will have provided BVG with a small taste of the whinging associated with re-releases. If re-releasing themes, items, unreleased and short term released items is going to be done, it needs to be done in one foul swoop. You cannot re-release items slowly over time, this will only create a long term drama. All items need to be re-released at once without forewarning.

That way all the players will cry at once, they will go through the stages of grief and when all is said and done, Yoworld will finally free of the baggage of the past and people will be able to look to the future, a future of opportunity and possibility under management that actually cares for the game.

It needs to be done soon, during this transition period. Leave it too long and it will be to late.
Re-releases are good for the game, you need to look past your greed and virtual wealth. Sometimes you need to take one for the team, if there was going to be a time to do this, this is it.

Maybe just a small re-release every few months or so.. Not like last time when they flooded theme after theme of re-releases..

If they do it all at once though, you're right, the drama won't go on for as long.

But I'm not sure on it.

Re-releases are a difficult subject. There's no way they can make everyone happy with it, and it'll cause some drama. But still, we'll be getting new stuff so..

Im sorry, but no. Re-releases helped to the demise of the game under Zynga's control.

NO! They wreck the fun of collecting rare items. It also is a big punch in the face for those who made massive amounts for the items which are now worth nothing.

But if every item is re-released, then who'd care about that? Anything else they could have bought with that money has been re-released too.

If they just re-release one theme with a few expensive items in it, then yeah they'll be annoyed because they could've spent the coins on something else that's expensive. But if everything's re-released, then it won't be as expensive..

All they seem to do is make that item worthless and then they move on to the next item and devalue that too, sorry but I dont like them..

What would be the point of re-releases? The game is in new hands of a company that is starting fresh. New designers, new everything, etc. :ugeek:

Rereleases devalue the way we all saved things in the game to make them rare. Its the way we thrive and build in here. releasing everything would mean we don't have any reason to buy save and sell. Thats how some of us play. Its not wrong. It makes the game more fun. More worth buying and selling. antiques are pricy and in yo its the same.

I guess it's a thing that not everyone will be happy with... Mostly not.

If everything is re-released and devalued, will it not create a space for BVG to release their newly created items into the game, items that will gain in value over time?

I'm not a fan of re-releases either. I'd much rather see new items released, and have old items retain their value.

They won't gain value if they're just going to continue to re-release.

Games are meant to level up. Meaning you start from the bottom and you work your way up to the top. If all games you stayed at the same level. Then what's the point in the game? lol

The average price for a bowl of strawberries is 695 000 coins. Is it really that rare that it justifies that kind of price, how will new players entering the game compete with prices like that?

Maybe they're good strawberries.. But yeah, new people to the game aren't easily going to be able to handle prices like that for simple items.
