I'm not familiar with the blue man but Mary was a ghost.
But soon after her first few sightings a lot of people started pretending to be her.
The yoworld wikia will have more information on both I'd imagine.

The true Mary from what I remember wasn't around at Halloween but January...there are a lot of fakes and the ghost has since left as far as most can tell.

Blue man was all a set up 100% fake the whiteboards were drawn by themselves and everything. But Mary is a real avatar.

The blue man is "real".
Fakes have been created over the years,the orginal is probably in some old players inventory that has either been deleted,forgotten about or hidden away...
