I apologize for swearing but... the hell?

I know I've been gone a long time, I tend to come and go a lot... and the last time I was here... there was another forum here?

Now I googled some and found out that YoVille was sold by Zynga and changes had to be made etc, which is ok but... err... does someone have a cached copy or something of the old forums? I had some pictures uploaded there that I've currently got saved on an external harddrive I can't get to during my vacation. I can find some on Yorehab if I google Skogstroll design but only some old ones, not the new. And then all the discussions I had with other people, Megan, Dolls for Design and everyone... I'd like to save them if it's possible.

I apologize if this question has been asked before or if it's in the wrong forum.

i never went on the old one that much i was always on the one before that :lol:

im getting used to this forum now i took a long break too

, i had alot of memories on the old old one especially with some good friends and threads that were made about the green and purple ninja

I remember I had some photos in the old forum with purple ninja at a forum party one time

Welcome to our new home and I believe that Zynga took down the old one almost immediately after the take over was complete.

Yeah, I noticed. I just hoped that someone had a cached copy of it that I could scroll through. Maybe there were too many posts for one big file but just the photo subforum is ok, that's where I used to hang the most anyhow.

That forum just poofed.
Soon as Yo was handed over it was locked,within a few days they perma closed without any warning.

LOL! That's Zynga for ya'! They said the old forum would be a readable forum only for 2 months more, then the next day from that announcement, they took it down.

I thought they said it would be up to just read for a while, then it was just gone!

I'm pretty sure they don't have a copy. I think they just junked it.

The problem is that Zynga said the forums would stay for about a month or so, but then from one day to the other, they took them down. So even if people were planning on caching certain threads or copying certain posts, they likely did not get a chance to do so. You can definitely ask Zynga, but I don't think anyone who has written to them recently regarding YoVille concerns has gotten any replies (at least, no one I know has). Good luck!

That's exactly what I had thought. I remember a thread posted saying it would be read-only for 60 days. But as soon as the FB page for BVG temp forums went live we couldn't read anything any more. #gutted.
