I played around in Trading today. I have a bunch of stuff I'd sell if the price is right and thought I'd beef up my coins (instead I ended up blowing ALL my coins on one costume but that's not the story).

I ran across a thread about selling WBM and I went to wish them luck and it got me thinking about my WBM and I opined about how much I loved mine but it didn't work since BVG took over.

EeeK! I guess that was a no-no as the OP asked me to remove the post and as soon as I read it, I edited my post to say it was removed at the OP request.

Upon reflection, I'm not sure if telling people that they're going to spend 25M on something that BVG may or may not fix is the wrong thing to do. But I certainly am not looking to stop someone from selling after all caveat emptor.

What do you think?

Yeah buyer beware is nice and all, but I think it is better to be upfront about things. I would never want anyone to think I was being dishonest. It just isn't a good reputation to have. Yos have VERY long memories. Having said that, I would think with that item, the ones who have 25m to spend on it, probably know it isn't working......

You did the right thing! I would have not know and if the buyer did know, i don't see a problem.
The seller should be telling potential buyers on the thread when selling the WBM IMO

In retrospect, like I said, I think the seller should have said something. I didn't even know my own wasn't working since I haven't had a snowball/waterballoon party in ages, until I found out on the FB group before the forums. I was upset to hear. If I had just paid $25m I would have been furious!

I agree....I had no idea it doesn't work as I don't own one and most buyers would be in the same boat. It is also an open forum and I think it is good that you warned people about it. I hit events that I know are scams all the time to warn people and I figure it is no different here.
