I'm not being mean or anything, but is it right to be asked for coins or anything if you don't get to know a person? I just been begged for coins that I have worked hard for by faithfully playing this game and not begging even for 10 yocoins. I'm a giving person in rl but I refuse to give somebody in YW my stuff that I paid for without expecting something back. I have friends in my buddy list I don't associate with why should I give you the satisfaction when you most likely do the same?

It's a matter of opinion and they have the right to beg. I dislike it but that's me though.

You right about that, I have been learning that for myself as well as sometimes you need to pay for you own stuff than to ask.

I never begged for a single thing, not even when I was brand new. And I don't give to beggars either. If I see someone is new and nice and not even begging subtly, and I'm in a generous mood, I'll give. But people do feed into it so they keep at it.

No it isn't right. They wouldn't do it, if they didn't have people enabling their behavior. Like right here on the forum, someone makes a sob story status, gets gifted, other beggers see it and BAM, now we have indirect, and in some cases, not so indirect begging threads in discussions. It is shameful how some behave.

You right, I stop doing the wishlist stuff too, it wasn't like I was getting anything anyway. It's just funny how the people who's YoPerson is decked out is worse than the new people. AND THEN HAVE TO NERVE TO SELL IT ONCE THEY GET IT.

Genuine people with a shred of self respect don't go around begging, that's just how I feel. I never did it. I do give to people I get to know who are struggling, because it is so difficult to make coin and the cost of items have rocketed.

But begging in YoWorld for coins, hairs, etc.. Who knows? They could be alternate accounts; they might not even be poor!

I hit wishlist a few times a week. I LOVE gifting!! !However... I only gift those whom I see gifting others. Is that the right way to do it? I don't know. I like to help those who help themselves and others. I do not post a wishlist for myself, nor do I ask for anything! I am the same way in real life.

when i am the furniture store and a player sends a request to play rock/paper scissors., i will help with that and give coinage. i can tell they are short on coinage trying to buy something in the store.

I have gifted a few in the wishlist forum before, but those were players who were looking for decorator items......not every 08 rare or yocash item in the game. I also like to have a peek in trading and gift people who are actually buying for themselves, if I have what they are looking for.....

I am so sick of the subtle but not so subtle begging threads in discussions. Last week I sat and watched 3 people make threads and they all got gifted the item. People who gift to beggers are enabling them to continue to do it.

That is a nice gesture! I get aggravated with people who send requests in the stores when I'm trying to shop. It's one thing to do it at Alton's but it's annoying when they do it in the store.
