People who support the game?? These are my thoughts about the new owners tactics.
I have been reading many posts regarding this topic, and yes I have also read Gary's thanks to supporters, ie ( people who buy cash )
Firstly anyone who plays YoWorld is in my opinion a supporter, and should be treated and respected by both BVG and fellow players.
I am actually horrified that BVG has created such a divide amongst loyal players.
No need for badges, as it is has only created a further divide and animosity among players.
It is not the players job to worry about the success of the game, that is BVG concern, same as it was Zynga's. Nice to get a breakdown of costs ect, but not in an effort to pressure players in making a financial investment, and make them feel inadequate if they do not.
When people threw cash at Zynga for years what did they do? They left us all high and dry as they did with many of their games.
I certainly don't blame anyone for not buying cash, indeed people who do including myself are seen by the more sensible as idiotic for investing in something that we are only 'renting' and will never own, because if BVG pull the plug say goodbye to your cash and game.
Just my thoughts, have a good day, and continue being awesome

I can't agree more!
That's why I pushed so hard to be able to hide my badge.

It's only creating more divide in an already divided
social world.

It's not our job, but why wouldn't players be concerned about how the game is run? I'm not likely to buy yocash in a game that is obviously being run badly.

agree with OP and after seeing the post Greg made I was a little disappointed and felt he did divided the players maybe for him it was a nudge for more ppl to buy yocash but thought it was a bit hurtful...yes I am a bit sensitive here, also Greg made the post not Gary :)

yes of course I wish the Company every success, but it should not be at the expense of belittling the loyal players who do support the game in many other ways other than buying cash.

I think Gregs post was a sound reality check in letting us know what the future of YoWorld will depend on. I appreciate the thank you and him bringing to light things I had never considered as a paying player, and also, what people who choose not to pay should also be considering.

The game is being well run...and fixes have happened that have not been fixed in years by the previous owner, I am sure BVG designers are hard at work to make everyones lil Yo dreams come true. Too bad they couldn't design a little patience for those who are in need.

I didn't say it was being run badly. I was just giving a point of view as to why some of us ARE interested in how the game is being run, and why it is our business.

every day you would see players post they had no money for yocash, asking for gift boxes and coin runs back to be added back to the game. players would tell them they needed to buy yocash to support the game. this was happening way before Greg's post

People choose not to buy cash for a number of reasons, this does not mean they are less important to the success of this game, indeed consider this, if we are valued only on the colour of our badge by a company with are supporting than I have a problem with this, as I feel I am far more important than a badge, and I sincerely hope the people without badges feel just as important. The real question here is, do I want to continue investing in a company who only value people by the amount of expendable cash they have?

We have slated Zynga, but even they were not as blunt

The ideal situation would be that everyone bought their own though. :)

And most businesses are run this way. Why are they demonized for it?

I guess it just earns them more money. Some people want to be seen in the forums more and want their posts to stick out, so I guess it could attract some people to start buying cash for a badge...
Although I think everyone playing yoworld is a supporter. Not just the people who spend. Some people who buy yocash don't even like people to know they do and don't like the new badges.
Oh well.
It's not like it's a huge deal..... I hope
