Oh I'm so mad I have to get it out in a short rant. On my wishlist ever since I started playing again has been the city of love yorkie handheld and I've been searching the AH for over a month with no luck I was bidding on it in the last minute and accidentally hit 801,000 instead of 81,000 well I won it but paid 801,000coins UGH I'm so mad at myself for getting all tensed up and pushing the button too quickly, well all I can say is it'll never happen again.

It happens, I once bid 1mil by accident for something worth 100k. Lesson learned to be more careful! :lol:

it happened to me 3 times
i feel your pain

in each of the 3 times it happened, i do not remember seeing the screen where AH asks me if i am sure i want to go through with the bid, because at that point i for sure notice how much i am bidding and cancel

i've asked a couple other ppl who it happened to and they don't remember seeing it either. i think maybe the bid button works faster than expected and one click is registering as two. i'm curious if anyone else has had this experience.

It's happened to me a few times. Not thrilled with my mistakes, one of them almost bankrupted me. Lesson learned to be really, really careful.

OMG copy and paste - thats what I do - if it gets down to the wire like that.. That sucks rocks. There should be an undo button that you can hit - in the next 20 seconds or something.

That sucks! At least it was on an item that you wanted and not some random item. Has never happened to me but I've read a few stories like yours on forums. Happens to anyone :/

I wish it were like ebay where you put in your max bid and it only takes it if someone beats you previous bid

This is why incremental bidding would be a good idea - like ebay has.

yeah thank you for the sympathy I figure my wtb list has dwindled down very much so I should make it back soon enough by continuing to sell stuff I don't use.

ok and I thought I was being neurotic by counting the zeros before I went thru with the bid! guess I can see why I do now! It's easy to add an extra zero and not notice! Sorry hun.

That has always happened to me !
Now im careful while searching in ah :lol:

Congrats for getting the item.
It would be great if bvg made an option to remove your bid on some item if you like.

I think they'd have a hard time keeping up with people trying to remove bids, I'd really like the incremented bidding where you put in the max you want to bid and it only increases your bid when someone else beats you 1st bid just like ebay, so you don't have to sit there and watch the item.

Yes thats a good idea.It is really frustrating to sit and watch if someone out bids you.
