When I heard that YoVille was closing, I took to YouTube and rallied against it. I didn't want to see my world dissolve into nothing. I got behind BVG and I rallied with the others. When they took it over, I embraced YoWorld. I bought YoCash and two more houses. I waited. I was patient.
I have to say this because I love this game and the people associated with it. I've logged on maybe a dozen times since March. I'm disappointed. I'm saddened. I'm at a loss for how I feel about my lack of enthusiasm for this game. I've read all the updates and I try to get my head around the logic behind the frenetic pricing of items and the release of disjointed pieces of furniture. I am trying really hard to keep my faith in BVG.
The release of coin hair - thank you! The idea of making things more affordable to new players is a good one. The converse of that, jacking up the prices of other things won't have the effect you think it might. I've been here almost since the beginning (October of 2008) and swindlers will always find a way to swindle. Those who make their game coin off of hoarding YoCash items and reselling them will find a way to do it. Buying YoCash hair, jacking up the price and then reselling it will continue. It's how some people justify the way they make coin in this game...because the 2K at the factory just isn't doing it for them.
I've made a lot of coin through YoSites on FB. Design contests, gifts from friends and things of that sort have given me what I have in game. I was not a YoMillionaire until recently because the items were reasonably priced and I didn't need 60 YoCash crowns to sell later to new players.
You have a rare opportunity to restructure the financial system of this game to one that's fair to everyone. Repricing these items isn't going to fix the problem we're having in Yo. It's only going to further alienate some players while feeding into the swindlers "business as usual" way of playing this game. What I'm asking is a little more uniformity and consistency. It would go a long way toward evening things out.
Thank you for what you've done for us and for listening to our voices.
