What if...when you clicked to buy something in any of the stores and you already owned it, you got a pop up to say "You already own this item...are you sure?"

Because I've done that so many times for real.

EDIT: Sorry this is not meant for furniture, because that would be insane. More for clothing and wallpapers and floorings.

Hmmm...That would be annoying if I wanted to buy multiple things and kept getting that pop up. Or if I was trying to edit a room and kept getting that every time I was trying to place new items down. Just my opinion though.

That is why there should be an option in settings if you would like to activate this feature

Yes, I could see how it could be problematic if you were going to use like 6 of the same chairs.

I was thinking not so much of furniture, but things like clothing and wallpaper and stuff like that.

I thought this was brilliant till I read Sakura Amber's post. Then I thought of tiles and tiny things we buy tons of. :lol:

But yes, if we could turn it off and on that would be cool.

No sorry, I edited, this idea was intended for clothing mainly and wallpapers and floorings. Not items you'd routinely use multiples of.

Not a bad idea. Another thing I'd love is if you're looking around someone's house and you see an item and don't know what it is, you can click it and it will tell you what it is and give you the option to buy one (assuming it's not discontinued). Another game has that feature and I love it.
