I usually buy a few yc items one to sell and one to keep. On the first week of a release. Well for as long as i've been back anyway.
Last few days selling any yc item has been like pulling teeth. No one wants to buy. And here's my opinion why.

As an example- when the handheld snow wands where released, about half and half where yc, and the others coins. Great weeeee handhelds for coins. That stopped me spending yc on them. I just bought the coin ones. Who needs to spend yc if there are two coin ones? I just made do with the coin wands. The glasses came out, again some coin some yc - great- I didn't need to buy yc ones - I just bought the coin ones. Then I thought i'd get a couple to sell (yc ones) Nope still got em lol. And no not selling them for huge amounts.
If your going to create the same item just in a different colour, one for yc one for coins. People are going to choose the coins in most cases. Less yc is going to be bought buy yc sellers, simply because no ones buying them. No one needs too. Just my thoughts.

What you reckon am I wrong?

Well As Buyer Your Better Off To Wait A Week Or So After Release ~ Prices Drop And Its More Affordable ~ Why Pay Insane Prices When An Item Is 1st Released ? ~ Makes More Sense To Wait ~ As A Seller If U Drop Your Rate From 45k To 1 To 20-25k Per 1 You'll See A Steady Line At Your Door ~

Yes, might be true but the new hats are only yocash and I haven't seen lots of people buying and the ones that did buy haven't paid a lot from what I've seen. Yocash rates are higher than what some players can afford which also leads to harder sale of those items. I speak for myself, BVG is doing a grear job but most items don't appeal to me. I mean, they look cool but not my style so I stay focused on my collections and things like that and ignore the new items. Maybe a mixturenof that plus crazy market lets players broke and/or not wanting the new items. Besides, those items will be there for a while. I am waiting for the ones that I like to drop in price and then will buy them. Maybe other players think like me on that aspect.

I'm sat here on all this left over yc from what I bought before only I'm not into clothes , waiting for furniture and as for the 3d aspect of it you know there are plenty of furniture items that are only 2d paintings and carpets for one
ok yes I bought one of those strange cthulhu things and sold it in AH just to make coins to decorate ... besides flip knows what that thing even is I dunno ??? means nothing to me, same with the wands if I buy one it will I agree be the coin one spose I could sell it like the fairytale shoe handheld down the track when this snowwhatsie theme leaves stores

With the way they are releasing items...giving coin options as well as charging YC for a few, I could see how YC sales will take a hit.
There doesn't seem to be a rush to buy the YC items like in the past. On a day of a release, everyone can have stuff without having to buy YC or buy from a YC dealer. That frenzy is gone.

Exactly people will choose to buy the coin items and forgo spending the yc.. I know I did. Really the only yc items I've bought has been to try and sell.. but as I say, thats been an epic fail. So maybe not anymore. Least I only bought one at a time, so, i can still wear them myself lol.

That is a very good point.....I also have noticed nothing is selling well in the AH, I believe it could be because the AH is so full of insane prices like millions for crap we can't even give away, people have stopped shopping at the AH.......I have stopped even looking much....I don't have time to sift through all that crap for the odd gem.

I agree, maybe some themes should be some with coins and some themes shouldnt.
and I mean like glasses should be coins in one theme and not in another.

I am experiencing the same phenomenon.
It's reduced my YoCash spending drastically.

I've adapted a "what do you need?" type of sale within the store at this point.

I have to agree. With a coin choice of hairs I've passed on the yc ones. I did buy a couple of the latest hats and the red yc bikini. But accessories have generally only been yc and if you wanted them... Ya bought yc or from a dealer. While having options are good for us, they may not be good for yc sales.
But I've always been more of a furniture buyer too....

When items are in this store, this will be the case. Most people will just settle for the coin items. However, when items leave store, that's when it all changes. Certain colours are worth more than others. This is determined by how many of that colour is on offer and the amount of people wanting that colour. I've noticed that white and black items tend to be the highest selling items..

However, as you mentioned, the coin items will be brought more often than YoCash items while the items remain in the stores. But remember, when these items go out of store, there is a good chance the YoCash items will sell for a lot more due to demand and supply. (The amount of people demanding that item will be more than the amount of that item on offer).

I must admit - i bought the coin hairs - several of them and have given a few away to struggling yo's. But I didn't buy any yc hairs in the last two releases. I think partly because they just weren't my style, and the colours i did like - where coins :) I can see where its a good thing- But if they want to make money. Then having people spend YC is the ideal. Its not going to happen at this rate.

I apologize if this has been said, too tired to read all the posts...but I think the whole logic behind doing both is to stop the need for the yc dealers...in my own opinion some of them are scammers too...now I can say this because I use to deal also...but I NEVER charged the so called GOING rate...last I knew it was between 25-40k per yc...that is just stupid.

This game is basically starting over, we're trying to encourage NEW people to play...so why not be considerate of them. If I get on disability I may start dealing again, and my rate will still be 10k-1yc...because I understand what it's like to struggle with no coins.

Just my opinion again.

Economically that makes no sense thou. If you want people to buy yc - Anyone. If they continue to release half and half, no no one will be buying yc - or at least a severe drop in yc buyers. I will not buy yc items I can't sell, because there are similar items for coins. Personally the coin items where enough for me. Not gonna shoot myself in the foot. I am sure i'm not the only one. I only bought the Yc glasses to sell. But no one wants to buy. Why because they picked up the coin glasses. As I did myself. It was an after thought a while later, to try and sell some of the yc glasses. Now i kinda own them lol. Cause no one wants to buy them.
