anyone still here from back when we only got new stuff every 6-8 weeks and acutal themes didnt even exist? man, I miss those days, the anticipation was awesome. back when the social part was the main focus of the game. back when people had auctions with actual in store stuff and if they got half price, they were smiling. back when we laughed at the price jackers failing to succeed, before the price guide at the time helped them. scammers were almost unheard of and when they did scam, they were outted swiftly. I miss those "innocent" days of the game.

Yes! I remember staying up all night excited about new releases. Going to auctions and getting bargains to resale later. I started Jan 09 and the older players would gift us generously! I still have an old Bubble gum machine I was gifted. THE old harp, winter boots, winter windows, koi pond, fountains, collectables etc etc etc. Plus the old Halloween stuff. Those were the good old days!

I do. I came from MySpace. I had SO much fun back in the day. My friends and I would sit and have sales and be with each other to talk while our sale was going on, taking turns. We would laugh so hard sometimes I couldn't see through the tears. I can't remember any names, but met the nicest Yo's! It was great to talk and hear where they were from, other countries, etc. Good times. Some of us had meet ups once a month, maybe 10 of us, and it went on for a couple years like that. Each person would host the get together at their home.
I loved waiting up for the new releases! I didn't talk much on the old forums, but did read everything and all the excitement!
Once good thing that came from it is most of my Yo friends are still here today and also on my Facebook. Some have gone from the game, but still around on FB to see how life is going on their end.
I do miss the interaction, but that's me and how I play now. I just slowly went into decorate and rearrange my hoards mode the last few years.
Yo is what you make of it and I know there are still so many that still play the old fashioned way as far as hanging out with other Yo's and having a great time.

I remember hunting for Gold and curiously peeking at players inventories on the Yo website, 20/30+ page Wishlist threads, struggling to keep sale/WTB threads on the 1st page of Trading, Forum parties, when Retros were the most prestigious item in game, the Ninjas and them occasionally turning up to said Forum parties. When Z had the event collab with 7/11 and Slurpee in NYC. So many good times, so many good memories. 10 years really has flown by.

I remember when I could tell you every single item in the furniture store as easy as reciting the alphabet. Haven't been able to do that in awhile, lol.

I also remember missing out on an exclusive house because I forgot to log in for Super Saturday. It would be cool if BVG would bring back Super Saturday sales once in awhile.

I even remember my first yocash purchase. From 2008 through most of 2009, I scoffed at the idea of buying yocash. Then came Halloween and.That.House. I've decorated and un-decorated it more than once, and one day will decorate it in a way it deserves, lol.

Yes, I am a 09 player! I liked when we only got new items once every 6 to 8 weeks! I also liked that we didn't have these Damned Gem Events and Challenges! When Themes were expiring with Z I could easily make back what I spent by opening up some of the Silver Chest's! Those were the good old days for sure!

The bakery would have been so much better if we would have had a rejuvenation machine and then nothing would have burned! You could buy one in FV, so your crops never withered and died!

I remember we used to get 250 coins for every friend we invited to play yoworld. I lost a couple bc they were so annoyed by the notifications. :silly:
I also remember every Tuesday, the excitement to get the collectibles and the super Saturdays for the exclusives....
Good ol days o_o
