I don't understand this new buddy list change. If you can't join people live within the game, what, exactly, is the POINT of the buddy list? To visit their homes and have them show offline? \

The greatest thing about the buddy list is the ability to join in-game buddies where they are. And, in fact, I see it as the ONLY thing the buddy list is good for. A lot of us add buddies in case we get disconnected and need to re-join an event, if they've hired us to make art for them, or to chill when we're bored.

I get that folks are upset about "Yo Stalkers" but there is a REALLY easy fix for that: REMOVE them from your buddy list. SIMPLE.

PLEASE don't mess with the buddy list. It is going to be useless now. I want to be able to visit buddies without adding strangers to my personal facebook. Some of us don't have any FB friends who play YoWorld.

While I agree with your statements, I'm not sure I understand their motivation. What specifically did BVG say would be changing? I never read anything about not being able to join people that are online. Just that they were "improving" the buddy list to get rid of glitches.

All they said was that they are going to rebuild the buddy list to fix things such as tagging. I think that we will still be able to join our friends.

I didn't quite understand their plan for the buddy list.

I don't know about everyone else, but it has been a very long time since I could take anyone off of my buddy list, including people whom I have unfriended. One whom I had to block stayed on the BL for weeks.

Yeah I don't think they have any plans to radically change the buddy list. They're just trying to enhance it, smoothing out bugs and what-not.

Hmm. I thought I saw something about them removing the "join live" option on the FB YW group. I haven't had any issues with my list, like not being able to remove people, etc. I hope they don't change the "join live" function. Thanks peeps.

Here it is, this is where they mention "people following you around" which I assumed meant the "join live" option. Which is KINDA the whole point, no?

FOR Taggers. Not for your friends...

Specifically taggers are people who are not on your friends list but are able to add you to theirs, due to a loophole in the current system. This allows them to follow you around and harass you. It will be fixed with our new system. We will not be removing any functionality. It's all good, trust me.
