I just wanted to warn everyone about the scams that have been happening lately.. Yesterday I went to an event with a group of girls saying they were giving away their items, but once you joined the room they were making fun of you, fake gifting, and kicking you. They'd say the other friend of the group was the owner and continue this fake argument. Today I went to an event saying " FREE 5m, Add me and I'll go to your house! " I of course checked it out.. I went to this guy's event and added.. Then went to his apartment. He had an alt. at his event and used it to try to convince me this whole thing was real. The owner said he'd give 5m if this guy ( his alt. ) would give him female eyes to give to his girlfriend.. They traded, he entered in 5m, and it failed so he said he needed to do his " method " which was his alt entering in the eyes and ' agreeing ' the trade.. and the owner then would enter 10c... and in his words " i'll give you 5m after you hit agree " when of course that wasn't going to happen once you pushed agree.. He said he wanted my Ice Age hair and I tried it out.. but I clicked Agree real fast then unclicked because I knew he would take off with my item.. he then canceled the trade.. His name was Hossam.. Do not be fooled by his silly tricks!

That's confusing.. Who has time to come up with that crap?

Who knows I've never heard of the " method " he's speaking of..

That sucks. I avoid events like that, nothing good ever comes out of "free items" and/or "free coins" events. Sorry that happened to you, some players have nothing else to do.

Oh I know.. I go to them just to see what happens..

You could have easily lost the hair if the game, or your browser froze for just a second. I would just report them and leave.

I reported him, not sure if it still bans people from making events.. and I made sure to refresh a few times before coming, turned the buddy list and everything off so I wouldn't lag out. I made sure to click fast so he wouldn't be able to check it.

Yeah it's obviously a scam. Too good to be true

I wouldn't risk putting the hair in the trade box you could have lost it

events are crazy, i've become a yo hermit the past few years

best rule of thumb to the new folks here...

nothing in yoworld is free....

and if it sounds too good to be true


then it is.


protect your goodies...and your coins and do not get rooked by dubious events and the scammers who run them.
