I had to clean up my list a bit today so that I could do the gem challenge. So as I was scrolling through looking for people who haven't played in a long time to remove them, I came across a forum member who I thought was fun and really nice. I have not seen Casper Boricua since Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico in 2017. I just can't bring myself to remove him even though he has not been on in over 3 years. I wish I knew if he was okay. :sad:

I really hope he is.

I have one other FB friend who passed away and I can not remove her. I still like to visit her old houses. She was a nice person. We shared some laughs and fun on the game and she is missed.

It is true that this is just a game, but the people we meet leave impressions on you. Fortunately, I have met and interacted with mostly good ones. I am grateful for the friends I have made through this game. :heart:

I too had an FB friend who passed away 5 yrs ago and is still on my buddy list and I too call by her homes and think of the good times :hug:

Thank you for thinking of me! I have no plans to leave anytime soon, life just gets busy with working, school, and being a mom. I am here in spirit even if I don't always post!

Same here. People change and life moves on. I guess I just think people should know that if you think you don't matter, to someone, you do. :heart:

AG, I only reconnected today with an old forumner whom I did not know was on here still. I had suspected it was her but recalled asking if she was that person, lol. I believe she said no, because I had not mentioned my former name on forum. And when I asked again today, and mentioned my old name it was indeed her!!!!!! :wailing:

what a happy ending! I wondered about her!

Aww AG this post truly touched me for a number of reasons. :heart:

Firstly I get it!! Totally. I have a hard time getting rid of players that were the backbone of my game when I started so many moons ago. And I have this view that if they ever wanted to return to the game they could find me and reconnect.

Secondly one of my oldest yO friends passed away earlier this year and I was truly devastated. Rl friends couldn't understand why I was so upset over a "pixel friend" and I was like she was much more than just pixels to me. I couldn't even go to the Towers for a while as that was where we would normally hang out and chew the yOfat. I still go to her apt often and oddly, find it comforting that her avi is still there. I could never delete her from my list.

I do remember Casper B and hope he is doing well and is safe.

This is way more than just a virtual game - like you rightfully said: real friendships and connections are made on this platform. :hug:

sorry for the loss of your friend AG

my son has not played in 8 years and i cant delete him as well , i know he will never play again but i too go to his room every now and then just to post hi :silly:

i know he will never see it, but it doesnt matter to me

i have to admit i am guilty of not going to say hi to my buddies often enough :sad:

i only do coin runs when new items come out in chests or if they come to see me, i return a visit :angel:

im going to have to make it a point to do more visits and say hello more often while they are still here :heart:

I'm so sorry for those who have loss friends in here. I know the feeling well. It's been 7 years and counting since I lost a good friend. We used to catch up every day, even if it was only through messages. We would have a blast joking around, hanging out and just laughing at life in general. I miss her dearly, but I know if she could she'd be telling me to cut the crap out and just get on with it, lol. She was that kind of person.

I still visit her houses, sit my Yo down on her couch and hang with her offline Yo, every so often I'll leave her a message, if only to let her know how much her sarcastic, cheeky butt is missed.

I remember Casper from here on the forums and I hope he is well and okay and just busy enjoying life. I done a clean up of my list a while back and it was hard. So many people that use to play that no longer do. Most of my old friends (by friends I mean people who actually stopped in to say hello) have moved on from yo. I miss seeing them and chatting and the old days. Not many do that anymore. I have a few who stay in touch with me but I was always very weary of adding outside of yo for many reasons so unfortunately do not know what happened to many old buddies who just stopped signing in one day. I never delete anyone unless it is for extreme reasons and can not remember the last time I have had to or maybe it was someone who I have not had the chance to chat with and they do not play as much anymore. I try to stay in touch or say hello to most people I have had a few chats and giggles with that yo bond I like to call it. :silly:

Even when I get busy in the real world and I get little chances to say hello I try to do so even though sometimes that can be hard to do. All of those people even on this silly game has touched me one way or another. That includes you. :heart:

Honestly, I can totally empathise...As I was reading your reason for not deleting your friend my eyes instantly welled with tears. I get it!
I lost my closest buddy that passed away 2 yrs ago now - we always had fun together and howled with laughter daily (Yep Daily!) - and that wasn't easy as her time zone was 8hrs behind mine but we made it work lol. We became so close that we exchanged contact numbers and would call each and talk on the phone whilst in the game - I was CERTAIN I would meet her one day in RL - unfortunately that was not to be! I still can't visit her place without crying and I would NEVER delete her off my list!
In fact I have a fair few that I used to spend a lot of time with when I first started to play - people who showed me the ropes how to shop via Events and Max for coins (remember that!? lol), and decorate the Black Spaces = so many good people who have now left the game - I would never delete them from my buddy list ) - too many happy memories! They(We) are not just Big Head pixels - sadly many forget that.
