We wanted to give you an update on Paint Boards. Our team is diligently working on potential solutions and we are hopeful that we can restore functionality to these boards in the future. Our ultimate goal is to also restore images, although this might not be possible.

While we continue to investigate these solutions, we want to show our appreciation for your continued patience with a token of gratitude. Every player who owns Paint Boards and has logged in since April 6, 2024 will receive a FREE gift of 25 YoCash.

Dear YoFans,

We have an unfortunate but important update to provide regarding the Paint Boards. Due to unforeseen issues that saw players abusing these boards in ways that were never intended and are in direct violation of our TOS, we have had to make the difficult decision to disable these items and erase all existing content. This means that, effective immediately, Paint Boards will no longer allow you to save images in game.

We understand that this is not an ideal solution, and we sincerely wish there were alternatives.

We acknowledge that many of you have invested in and used these boards extensively. We know that sharing art and creating spaces to communicate in fun and memorable ways are a core part of YoWorld. While we’re forced to disable this feature, please know that we are currently working on a compensation plan to address this inconvenience. Additionally, our team is diligently exploring solutions to restore and improve functionality or provide suitable replacements for these items in the future.

Oh wow, so all paint boards as of now, are blank? Not able to log on to check.

This will massively impact the game tbh, with the WTB/FS sales. Perhaps, BVG, you can implement a way to keep these events going? Could we add photos from an in-game database, like the non-official price guides have?

It's really too bad when people ruin nice things for others.

i only had one and it was of my dog who has now passed not happy with this its like losing her again,

you CAN'T PUNISH EVERYONE OVER A FEW PEOPLE'S MISTAKES. That's just WRONG. Go after the people that messed up like you used to do when someone did something wrong. Geez guys!!!!!

This is INSANE. A warning that accounts would be deleted if they aren't following the rules should have been done. Those paint boards enhanced some of my rooms and many others. You hurt everyoone!!!

YOU NEED TO FIX THIS!!!!

NOT HAPPY AT ALL!! These boards have enhanced many of my rooms & I also have memory boards of my passed on buds & loved ones. Offenders should be punished, not the rest of us..

Wow IT is Realllllly Sad that will Effect Everyone - does that Mean that the AH will also BE Addressed (with the Scamming Mark UP of Newly Released Coin Items)?

This is so vague. What does this mean? Does it mean we can just no longer save images or art to them or does it mean any of the non-offensive art we hand drew or non-offensive images saved to the boards will be erased? And what exactly does "compensation" mean? Cash or a coupon to throw at the casino? A yober for our inconvenience?

It's sad that some had to ruin another nice feature. And more sad that this couldn't be dealt with properly without having to punish innocent players.

Edited to add: I don't want "compensation." I want my few boards I drew to remain intact, even if I can't edit them. The first was a sign on my restaurant for a paint board contest held by BVG way back. Just some graffiti with my name and some food. Nothing offensive there. The others were restaurant signs and little things like a a rail to make sliding doors and a pot filler. I have never put an image on a board, and if I had, it would be like a stock photo and nothing remotely offensive.

My level of frustration with the game gets worse by the day. I got 2 emails from support that I forgot I even sent many months ago; one compensated me with gems for the glitch where it said I didn't enter when I did, and the other offering to refund me for a house where there was weird shading that wasn't there before. The house is decorated and I'm not pulling it apart for a refund. I was happy to get compensation for the GE and the offer for a refund on the house I spent a lot of time decorating and thought ok, maybe things are picking up. Then I saw this announcement and . . .

Why not just ban the players who are abusing the paint boards? We don't want to lose more good players. I have seen some very awesome rooms made with paint boards. I would be very sad to see these creative players go.

NO we don't understand and NO we don't support this. There is no compensation for erased artwork
That finishing statement is a very basic level customer service template. .

This is ABUSIVE! Like in real life, if someone has p*rn pics in their purse, you erase the pics of all purses? What about someone abuses others verbally you will disable talking? This is very abusive. These boards allow us to be creative.

Another memory bites the dust at YoWorld, I agree with the person that says about others ruining it for the rest of us and BVG could issue out warnings to those violating TOS instead of narrowing their "platform" down, making it less enjoyable for us who spend not only a lot of time and effort but also money on making art. With this on top of glitches, bugs, crashes, unreliable servers, lack of activities to do in-game, terrible development skills & oversight....I ask, is there anything you devs can actually do correctly that we can keep & enjoy? or are we just pouring money into a firepit?!

They aren't just ERASED, all my paint boards are GONE. So all my cherished Wizard of Oz boards that my dear friend made for me years ago, that added so much joy to my game and my rooms, are GONE.

This is completely unacceptable and shameful that we had NO NOTICE before BVG erased them all. You should be ashamed of yourselves. That means that any tribute boards are GONE, unacceptable.

This is a dark day in YW.

why punish all ive had boards for years some done for buddys that have passed and special occasions this is not fair for us

that is not fair to those who have not violated the tos i for one work very hard on art i do nothing bad and your going to punish the entire player database for others wrong doings that doesnt sound right

FORTUNATELY, I had ss of most of my rooms. But what about people who had no forewarning?
