I like the idea but why sleighs? Why the dreaded hated pink? I bought the small house so I hope we get some great items for it.

The colors of peppermint at Christmas are red and white, as associated with candy canes:
Red: Represents the blood of Christ
White: Symbolizes purity

I am glad it is only the first Christmas theme because I don't do fantasy so I will wait for the next one and only buy items that will fit in with a general theme.

I do do fantasy....it's what I love to do in this game.
But I am not participating because the house is just not fantasy enough. It's not a Candy Cane Palace, which is what I think about regarding Candy cane Palaces. It's just another Pink house, inside and out...nothing is screaming Fantasy Palace...it's not well done IMO. We already have much better Christmas Candy Palaces in the realtor's store.
And the pink and white decorations for it are too much to bear. I am so sick of Pink in this game. Pink is not a Christmas color...Easter egg yes, Christmas NO!
So like you, I'm passing on this.

Okay, well, um, this isn't exactly what I envisioned for a Christmas theme. Talk about your pink overload. I'm happy for those who enjoy it, though.

At first, I thought it was going to be a candy factory building, which I guess it could be, but the rooms are labeled as if it's a home, so I'm doubtful there will be much if any decor for a candy factory (other than the candy factory machine).

I wanted the candy factory machine, so I did buy the smaller home.

I know it's not traditional Christmas colors, but I love this!
I'm thinking of making it a special offshoot of elves who specialize in making candy and love pastel colors.
If the Vikings don't provide us with candy making machines, I will figure out how to make my own.

I can't recall ever envisioning Peppermint Palace and it being PINK, WHITE, AND GREEN :eh:

Goodness, at least this first theme will save me a few coins in hopes of a better one next. Glad for those who love it! And I would love to see pics of how you decorate it!

Between this theme, the gem event theme and new years, you're going to save me a lot of money this december
The candy theme is nauseating to me, but i'm sure those that love this theme will create masterpieces, will be fun to see what ppl do with it.
In the future if you create themes like this, could you please not force us to have pink, give us completely different options that don't intermingle colors we're repulsed by.
I am always happy to skip themes but still have hopes for something warm and cozy for Christmas and more ornaments to decorate trees with, like a better assortment of ornaments than we had last year with the VIP, more colors, more shapes.

First Id like to thank the people at Zynga Yoworld for all the hardwork they do, but to be honest if i had to choose a pink Christmas house it would have been the Kawaii, I think with the Peppermint the exterior of the house is limited to certain color schemes so its very hard to work with when you want to incorporate older Christmas items into the house, I think if we do such colors like Pink, we need to be given a simple Christmas house too where the exterior is neutral and it can be decorated in anyway the penthouse is very nice but thats also limited in colors given the white lights on the railing and the blue frozen look, I wish for Christmas we get a simple house such as the Victorian,Modern,Traditional or when doing such a pink theme release a simple Christmas theme also like with regular items such as the red,green,white,silver,blue, Love the Penthouse not crazy about the Peppermint took the free one not going to be YC or Yocoin one Hey when the rest of the stuff is released if i dont like it ill use it as another storage

Yes! (at the time I felt like the only person in all of Yoville that skipped most of that theme) and yet there are few items from the theme I just love — and have saved and used all these years

I think this would have been more fun and better received as a January break from the boredom from the first month of the year; where I know a good portion of us will be freezing and looking for an escape

color brings with it cultural over tones —— pink sadly has more then it’s fair share of unsavory labels NONE btw that are supported by anything besides fictional profiling

I'll echo what others have said here. First, the pink. ENOUGH PINK. You have done pink to death over the last Idk how many years. This looks like Easter marshmallow kind of stuff and not typical winter holiday stuff. It reminds me of my Strawberry Shortcake toys from when I was little. I realize this is the first of what I'm assuming is 2 themes for December and maybe the second theme will be something more traditional. I don't really care that much as I'm not a holiday person, but I do worry that if you blow the holiday themes this year, that will be game over. And I don't want game over.

For those who like it, no disrespect meant. We all have different tastes and I certainly will not bash anyone who likes it. I am happy for those who do.
