Hey YoFans!
We know it’s been a while since we’ve had a discussion about Paint Boards. Our team has been quiet with new announcements for some time, but rather than talk about all our work behind the scenes let’s just cut to the chase:
Paint Boards are now reactivated! What does this mean for the community? Let’s break it down:
- Effective on May 13, all Paint Boards will have their original art restored. This means that if you’ve left your Paint Boards in your rooms, you’ll see the last image left posted on that board once this update goes live. As with most updates, you may need to refresh your game for this change to take effect.
- If you put your Paint Boards away, don’t worry! Any Paint Boards left in inventories will still have their original image content. The moment you take them out of your inventory and place them in a room they should immediately load the last image present on them.
- All Paint Board items will be available for purchase in our Flowers and Gifts store.
- We cannot restore any images to Paint Boards that were deleted, or paint boards that were cleared by you. This means if you deleted your Paint Board item during this time, unfortunately we cannot restore these images to your account.
Now that the good news is out, let’s talk about how Paint Board moderation will work going forward.
In the past, Paint Boards have been subject to similar review as our in-game chat or player events. We have a zero tolerance for any kind of hate speech in game, and we wanted to remind you all that this policy extends to paint boards. To be absolutely clear:
- Any posts containing offensive or explicitly adult material may result in a permanent ban. This includes any images featuring hate speech, explicit nudity, sensitive identifying information that may contribute to doxxing, graphic violence, and racist, sexist, or homophobic content.
- If you have received a warning for posting offensive content in the past, your former warnings still stand.
- Any paint boards containing illegal content will result in a permanent ban, followed by immediate contact with relevant law enforcement agencies.
We know this announcement has come with a very serious warning, but we want to be explicitly clear as to how Paint Boards will be moderated by our team.
Understand that our team has the means to track when a Paint Board was last updated, and by exactly whom. Thank you all so much for your patience during this time. The bulk of our investigation into a solution has been behind the scenes, and we know how frustrating it is to feel left out of the conversation. If you have any specific questions about Paint Boards on your account, please submit a ticket directly to our Player Support Team.
Have fun painting, and have a Happy Anniversary!
