Different companies have different concepts of what celebrating an Anniversary birthday means. For instance, most games I play realize that by celebrating the players who actually make the game possible yield a much more profitable outcome for them during these times. All the players ... from people who support the game through word of mouth (which is why I actually started playing 5 years ago), to low spenders, to moderate spenders, to VIP spenders. EVERYONE gets to enjoy discounts and no section is not included... because the companies realize that without all players, there would be no game. It's antithetical to a successful profit margin to NOT ensure that this is the case in BVG. VIP stores should definitely be a part of the birthday discounts.
While I'm not sure what VIP get for birthday gifts... imagine if we all give BVG a similar birthday present to the ones we get and spend only 500,000 Yo Coins during Yo Anniversary celebrations!

That just wouldn't do now would it?
Honestly, game anniversaries should be a celebration of the game creators and originators (for sure), but even moreso for the staff (both paid and volunteer), the creators and all players (especially those who spend any real money to include those in VIP). Everyone should win. And the discounts should be just as grand as the antics used to encourage Yo Cash spending and to deplete of us of our hard earned undervalued Yo Coins.
For me personally... the things that are giving back to the players during this celebration have been the fairly discounted bundle sales, the return of Storylines and the 50% sale. This is only a margin of what players give back in way of spending on everything else, from buying Mystery Boxes, participating in Events that now give prizes that have little resale value after we invest in actually spending Yo Cash and real cash to purchase Yo Cash items to do the Events, exclusive real Cash only Bundles, any Yo Cash Packages where we spend real cash, purchasing anything in Auction these days and VIP support to name just a few of the ways players spend, support and give to this game... to include user created content and recruiting friends (especially ones who spend).
Since the stores are having a 50% off sale, here's to hoping that VIP store discounts are soon to follow.
So... I celebrate the 50% sale as the best part of the Anniversary Birthday Gifts to players so far. It should indeed be fair to all... including VIP.
Now if only we get decent deals on Yo Cash in time to actually enjoy the fullness of the 50% sale.
