Thanks for bring back the paint boards. Now can you increase the number of friends from 1000. I'm sick of having to delete some to do the gem events

Cleaning out the buddy list is easy. Once a quarter I flush everyone who hasn't logged in for 30 days. I rarely get to 750 buds now.

only 500 show up on your buddy list too
and try scrolling to the bottom lot it takes ages

just remove a LOT that haven't played in a while ( the number is up to you ) I'm sure there are a few

If BVG would just give us the option to sort by last log-in date, it'd be much easier to cull the list of inactive yos.

I culled mine down to 100
hubby had 1000 he's down to 780
some of his keep popping back, delete some and login via FB and they (sometimes ) pop back on
they're on his FB friends list and just appear back on his Yo buddies , its kinda weird because if you add someone on FB it takes ages to add them if you WANT them on there

No, thank you. There is enough issues with having more than 500 in your Buddy List. Here is why and some player's may not even be aware of this,

You can have 1,000 Buddies in your Buddy List, but only 499 on your Neigbour Ladder. The only ones you can visit and see will be those who are at the lowest level on your Neighbour Ladder and those who are higher than that. Anyone who is lower than the lowest level player on your Neighbour Ladder won't show in your room of they visit you and you won't be able to see them in their room when you try to visit them either. I have many that visit me, they can see me but I can't see them because they are a lower level player.
In addition to that, adding new Buddies when doing hangout's will bump the lower level Buddies off your Neighbour Ladder if those new Buddies you added are at a higher level.

I definitely know for an absolute fact that what I stated above is an issue. I had 2 Buddies that visited me everyday and I visited them back for months and then all of a sudden I could no longer see either of them in my room, so I paid them a visit and I couldn't see them in their rooms and there was no visitor box, either. I needed to figure out why this was happening all of a sudden, so I scrolled all the way through my neighbour ladder and neither of them showed on there. I then scrolled through my Buddy List and removed people that hadn't played in quite some time (I had quite a few). Then I scrolled through my Neighbour Ladder again and both of those Buddies were now showing on there, so I paid them a visit and they showed in their rooms for me again and there was also a visitor box.

My lowest level player on my neighbour ladder currently is at level 275, so anyone else who is also at that same level and lower won't show in my room if they visit, but they can still leave a message.

I do the same thing and 30 days is my cut off number too. The first time that I cleaned out my buddy list I had buddies who hadn't played in almost a decade lol! That purge took a while but now that I do it regularly it's a quick process and I still open 1000 gifts a day. I would rather have the number of gifts that we can open increase than the amount of buddies.

I'm all for increasing the Free Gifts limit. Even better would be that, upon reaching capacity, lower level gifts automatically get replaced with higher level gifts as they are received.

I keep my Buddy List around 950 for those sweet, sweet free coins.

For those who don't know, you can create categories in the Buddy List so you can organize everyone. Never lose track of your actual friends again!

Notice it says "Inactive buddies" if they auto sorted into that category that would be great, I never have any in there and I've got Moppy on my list still, Moppy hasn't played in 11 years ( RIP) .
No idea what the criteria for inactive is, its a default category

The game does auto-sort Inactive Buddies into that category but you'd have to ask a Viking for the details.
