I spent a small fortune on the new theme items for the outfit gem event, multiples of 3 types of hairs, multiple facial features, etc & now this gem event is requiring MF2019 items? I can't even express how annoyed I am right now without risking a forum ban. Never again... I have NOTHING from that theme... The h*** with this. I refuse to buy anything. I'm skipping this one.

... And I sold multiple items from those older themes at the auction house because of how BLOATED my inventory is!

Keeping at least 3 hairs from EVERY gem theme since the beginning was just too much (and I wasn't playing for a few years due to recovering from a serious illness!)

(takes a deep breath) Either BVG has NO IDEA how many of us plan ahead for gem events OR they DO KNOW & THIS was a big WE DON'T CARE message from them.

Problem in this game no matter what BVG dose no one is going to be happy. MF2019 theme is still in stores and you can ask to borrow hairs and such. There no laws on what theme codes challange will be put on gems. There trying things out to and its upto us to stay calm and give feedback without yelling at them!

If they wanted to change things up, we should have been given advance notice. But they didn't because it would have likely slowed down sales of the current theme.. And please don't tell me not to yell when I just wasted a ton of yodollars & coin collecting items for a contest that has always followed the same exact pattern, that is not your place at all. And as far as the items still being in the sore, I thought about that, and guess what....the eyes & the glasses from those themes don't even register on the bar and they are yo dollar items & I just bought 2 sets of glasses & 3 sets of eyes. So Mario...there is no being calm here....

They did state in the [ANNOUNCEMENT] Introducing Super Challenges! (May 2nd, 2025) that they were going to do this for the last 2 June Challenges! viewtopic.php?f=2&t=253378&hilit=super+challenge

[ANNOUNCEMENT] Introducing Super Challenges! (May 2nd, 2025)
Postby Viking Andrew » Fri Apr 25, 2025 11:42 am

Update: 5/29

Hello YoFans,

We've been listening closely to your feedback on our new Super Challenge initiative, and we greatly appreciate our community sharing your thoughts with us.

Our original intent was to create an exciting bonus opportunity for those seeking extra rewards, as an addition to the standard Gem Event experience. It’s clear based on your feedback that we’ve missed the mark. So, with that in mind, we're pausing on any Super Challenge releases in the immediate future to reevaluate and revamp this feature, should we decide to bring it back.

Super Challenges were designed to be challenges with higher stakes that offered a challenging twist on decorating and dressing up; however rather than feeling challenging like we hoped, Super Challenges felt restrictive. We sincerely apologize for this and promise we will do better in the future.

While Super Challenges will not be offered in June, we'll carefully review all your valuable feedback to make improvements for the future. If you have more suggestions on what you’d like to see from Super Challenges - including what kind of challenge themes or rewards you want featured, please tell us!

As part of the feedback you shared with us, we heard from many players that they enjoy the idea of having extra contests each month. We think that is fantastic feedback, and we agree! To ensure we have 10 challenges for our committed Gem Event fans, we're going to launch two unique, alternative challenges next month inspired by some beloved classic in-store themes. Keep an eye out for more information on updates to our Gem Events in the near future.

Your feedback is incredibly important to us, so please don't hesitate to share your thoughts on this or any other matter.

:dizzy: that's crazy. These ones are weird. I have no clue why they don't just do the special ones old school? Have the required 3 items be from the current GE. Then the bonus pts from current theme peeps actually have items from. GL everyone! Still glad I sit this one out LOL!

This is challenge 8, not a challenge 9 or 10 so this IS NOT an extra challenge.

Are you kidding me?

if you just bought MF2019 items, send in a ticket. it was totally confusing reading the description and then opening up the avatar to get dressed and seeing DD2020 in there.

you could have just bought 3 armbraces for 500c each to fulfill the MF2019 part.
it's the DD2020 that you need yc items for.

This is the weirdest and most annoying one yet. Voting's going to be interesting. I didn't have to buy anything except for an extra outfit slot since I had to pile so much junk on. What are they smoking over there?! Smh.

i bought lots of the vip hairs yesterday thinking for sure i could sell off the extras for a rate that makes it almost worth it to purchase them... nope.
they're going super cheap, waste of money. now can't even use them in this challenge.
it does feel deceptive. we do purchase ahead of time.

and who on earth wants 10 challenges per month, there is zero time off from the gem event. i need to rethink my own participation but i was much happier at 8 challenges and 290 silver bar, than 10 challenges and 300 silver bar. i seriously hope next month's gem theme is not appealing to me. i need to kick this habit.
