I tried to save my outfit as Fuchsia n Aqua and I got yo-scolded that I couldn't use profanity in saving my outfit name. What on earth? Am I using curse words that I'm unaware of????? :?:

I think it's because some people will use fuch as a swear word. I can't use the word Japanese either, maybe because the word jap can be used as racial slur, which I would never use.

So weird. Fuchsia is actually in many item names, yet not ok for us plebs, the players? LOL Also you'd think proper demonyms would be ok....otherwise, if having a discussion (such as introducing one to another) some people might have to use improper terms? That seems counter-productive.

I'm just grumpy today, the mattress firm ad is driving me crazy.

I tried to type in-game (in the chat field), and fuchsia became "yaddasia" , while peacock became "peyadda" :haha:

I used not to be able to type "Japan" in-game, but now I can. Maybe they fixed it? :?: Good job, Vikings!

I am guessing that if the filter finds at least 3 letters that are part of a wod that is regarded as offensive, it will change that part into "yadda". In the word "Japan", the first 3 letters (Jap) is usually considered to be a derogatory word or an insult toward the Japanese people, so the filter marked it out. I typed "Jap" and it turned into "yadda".

OK

word filter from day one - annoys the snot out of me

That at my advancing age they feel I require protection from myself? - or worse that I would enjoy punctuating my dialog with strong language .... because I rather use all the crayons in the box please?

For those that complain about language, please stop
for those that complain about suggestive clothing, the same - please stop

I try to use humor, you say something off color to me I'm going to laugh in your wee little yo face and if you dont chill I block you --- I have no idea why we need a chat filter at all if our blocking system would simple be repaired. - once blocked I should never see you again ..... but I should know your in the room by a list that appears in our chat area

when we block someone, yes, they can be at same event however we can't see anything they say and they are a little transparent, like a ghost, so we can see thgey are blocked. at least that's how my blocking works. :D

Mine as well

but it's a easy fix to make it so we dont see them at all -- no mocking and no standing in front of the person that has them blocked

and I dont know --- there isnt really a good fix and we know it's just too much to ask I guess for others to make an effort in public spaces ?

I think some come at this w/ the same concept you would use on a shot them up video game and you shouldnt ... you are world building, there are no winners and no losers - it's what energy you want to bring to the party. ------ those chasing coins or tormenting others for sport I feel badly for, because I personally feel they are missing out on some of the best and most relaxing parts of this verse :)
