I recently bought a miami cool pool design on the auction house for 600k, i made sure i had seen them selling before i decided to bid on it and win it last minute. I tried selling in an event sale but everyone only stuck to the what i think to be un-updated price guide price of 320k. What sucks about it is if i sold it for that i would obviously lose money but i think i can make around 900k for it on the auction [ the average is supposedly 1.5mil which seems too high obviously but whatever if it sells it sells ] Anyway my point is what can you trust..? I have yet to ever see someone actually stick to price guides so it makes it almost impossible to know how to price something lately as the only concrete price i can think to find is the auction average price but that doesn't exactly seem trustworthy either. Sorry for the long post i am just confused as to pricing in the game lately, it seems as if it is just always "your item, your price" but anytime i price an item i get crap for it from people for straying from the priceguide, lol.

I wonder if they plan on fixing it somehow. I haven't been playing the game long enough to know much about how the prices used to be though, unfortunately.

Prices vary from time to time, generally speaking. At least for some items. I'm not sure how they can really fix it seeing as how people will pay insane prices for some things.

Yeah, lol. I have seen some items I thought to be worthless go for really high amounts.

These average prices in the Auction house are a little bit weird. I do believe some of the items which are being sold for millions and millions, are people just transfering coins from one yo to another.. I saw 50c coin shoes still in shop, average selling price 22 m. So yeah. This way of transfering coins is inflating the actual price on some items. Along with making the average price quiet unrelieable.. I just laugh at some of the absurd prices in there.

Lmao. Maybe it would be safer for me to just not buy things to sell until it is somehow under control.

Yup! It's pretty obvious when it's something fake like that. I wouldn't rely on the AH average price for the time being. Not sure if the guides are accurate either.

The worst thing about it is that i don't even think it will be a problem getting my money back. It's the fact that i just end up passing it along to someone else if you get what i mean.

But it never really is, you know? If you're buying to sell you are always taking a chance. Sometimes you gain, sometimes you lose. It's the nature of the market.

Yeah, Like i mentioned above it's not really even a case of ever losing money since people will buy the items for the high price, I just feel slightly bad passing it along to someone else at such an inflated price.

So sell lower! Easy as that. I do it knowing I could get more but it's a sure sale when you go lower and you don't have to deal with guilt lol

People are not going to over pay because of your mistake. You should have been aware of the actual price via price guides.
If your selling for 800 and everyone else selling for 400. Then it may just have to be a long term investment. Or you take a loss.
