We are only allowed to gift 4 times per day. I have two questions:

1. why so few?
2. what is a day-is it from midnight to midnight or does the time start from when we first send a gift?

Probably to stop players that take other people's accounts. For example, players like to scam by putting on fake websites stating that you would receive a lot of YoCash or coins. Then, people would post their email and passwords for Facebook, and then the scammers would go into their account, take everything, and gift it to their main account.

There is no real reason to keep this restriction now.
They have removed the IP address blockage, so now
you can trade with the same IP.

before we could delete items from our inventory we would get stuck with 50 - 100 free gifts like toasters
so peeps would gift bomb the one person with as many as they could .... which is why it got reduced to what it is now

no, they reduced it when the heaviest hacking was going on which still didnt make sense because they surely didnt gift the items, i imagine they had partners and traded it.
But the excuse we were given was that it was reduced for our security

It was zygna's way of combating hacking or so they claimed! it was originally limited to one gift and then after much uproar they settled on four!

The time is not midnight to midnight, it is from when you sent the gifts. And it seems that if you try to send another before the time is up it then starts from that time, that can be very irritating. I try to wait two days before gifting someone I've already gifted so not to run into a problem of having my time reset.

The reason they made it a 4 gift limit is because it prevents hackers hacking into another account and sending all their stuff to their own via gifts. Therefore with the limit if someone were to be hacked they would only have 4 of their most precious or whatever items gone. Now that the IP address blockage of trading is gone, I see no fitting reason to still hold this rule.
As for your second question, you can gift 24 hours after you sent your last gift.

Maybe it was to stop people with alts gifting to their main account.. Isn't it 4 gifts to one person per day, or is it 4 gifts total?. It does stop that bullying tactic of gift bombing someone. I rmr yrs ago, when a group of people on the forum got together to pick on this one kid who had been somewhat annoying. They all gift bombed him so badly they actually broke his account. So many free toasters and the like, he couldn't load his game at all... Now i'm REALLY glad that can no longer happen.

Doing great, going to Mozambique in a few months, for 2 months. Very happy BVG saved the game.

far as I know Its four to Borg, four to Miss Thug, four to Cat, four to Adrian and four to Kat ..total of 20 per day
