Maybe you guys should go read the rules that Greg has stickied..........

2. Courtesy and Respect

Forum Content must be civil and where possible it should be courteous. The forums are a place for positive and constructive interactions between YoWorld players. Forum activity such as bumping, petitioning, lobbying, cross posting, threatening to quit, signing or +1’ing a thread is not constructive and is not permitted. Big Viking Games has a zero tolerance policy for content that violates the rules in this section.

I believe cross posting is if you make a thread in one section to draw attention to a thread in another.

1ng i think is when you post "first to post" or "first" on a thread. pretty much like in youtube when people find happiness in being the first to view or first to post on a video.... i may be mistaken though.

+1'ing means exactly what is says.

It's when you just post a comment that says "+1" to imply agreement.

My read on these rules is basically that they don't want a ton of spamming, so instead of just "+1"...if you agree with something add something to the discussion...and if you want to get a thread back to the top, make a constructive post instead of just typing "bump"....I really don't think they are going to be unreasonable about this, but spamming with no contribution to a topic is kinda annoying.

I think if they are going to make rules - then they should make the rules easily understood. I have never heard the term +1'ing before. Being on the net, new terms become popular here all the time. Keep the rules simple, maybe don't use slang terms. So us older folks can keep up :) - or have a translation. Thats in the rules too. If you post in language other than English, you must also provide an English translation.

Thanks for explaining what it means.

I wish they would allow "bumping" at least in the trading section. It makes sense there.

I did take it that way, but I also think that the other posters saying that making conversation rather than "bump" is what they mean. I don't think that BVG is going to act like our strict parents or anything, so we need to try to adhere to their rules and use our brains a little bit..........lol
