Hi, Ive been playing since March 2010 and ive never been so sad and disappointed in my life with this game. I worked so hard to get where I am today, and I ended up buying Menorah hat for 35mil back in 2012. I never in a million years that this day would come. I spent my real money getting yocash and being a yodealer to get coins back then, 3k-1yc. I feel like the people that joined in 2014 have it way easier than when i joined, we didnt have a house that was full of furniture already decorated. All the yovillians worked together and gave everyone deals to help each other out in the game, now people are in it to be richer and to brag. Ive worked my butt off to earn that hat and people can just buy it in the store for 25yc? Oh well, guess we gotta start back from the drawing board. I know alot of other people are in the same boat as i am who lost millions of coins from this. But some of you probably love this, which i probably would if i would be stuck with a 35mil hat thats worth 400k now. Thank you for stopping by and reading this it means alot. Happy Yovilling

I just don't buy unreleased items with my coins.
Sorry you feel so slighted though.

I'm curious. I really am - serious question. Why did you expend so much effort to obtain the Menorah hat? Did you just really love it? Cause I could see myself doing that with the bird's nest hat - I really love it. So, I'm curious about your reasoning.

Tbf you should of known the risk you took buying an item that could of been released at anytime.

Three things:

1. Trading in unreleased items always came with risk. I know it, you know it, we all know it. And this release is NOT without precedent. Zynga released the VIP jackets years ago and the same thing happened. It's the risk you took. I own a Celtic Cross and I very much suspect it's going to be released too. Too bad, so sad. I won't complain. The only reason I'm not unloading it now is because, to quote the Dude, it ties the room together.

2. Your Menorah Hat is no more or less than it was before. You didn't lose anything if you truly bought it because you liked it and wanted to wear it. You can still do that. And you got to do that for a very long time before today as well.

3. The most precious and valuable thing you or any other Yo has isn't for sale in the store nor is it "unreleased". It's on your Buddy List, it's in your memories and it's there in the friendships you have made.

Not sure if that helps you, but that is how I truly feel.

"worked?" It's a game. You played the game and spent your time and money at your own risk to obtain an unreleased item. I don't understand how you can complain that people have gotten greedy while at the same time complaining that your hat is worth nothing now. It's a bit of a contradiction. I started in early '09 and even if I had that hat I couldn't care less that it's been released. Zynga failed by not doing this a long time ago. That is why the game tanked under their ownership. BVG is making it easier for new players because we need new players for the game to thrive and for them to profit, which will keep the game going.

I agree with Rain, your menorah hat is not worth any less unless you got it to make a profit, if you got it because you wanted it and it was a keeper than , nothing lost.

Lets try to put a positive spin on it, Mercedes. You enjoyed that hat for two more years than I ever will. You probably have a lot of things I don't have and will never get even though I joined in 09. You have also had a good time. To me all that is worth what happened to the value of your hat.

Let me add one thing. I do not support the release of old rares and costumes that were released in game. I feel new people should have to work as hard as I did.

I'm sorry but you people make me laugh. Lost millions ! Don't be silly you haven't lost anything at all. You've still got the same as you had yesterday unless you've been shopping of course. I am a long time player and I was never bothered by the re-releases at all. Nor am I bothered that they've released previously unreleased items. None of the so called rich people's clothes appeal to me at all. I have bought a few bits but not the ones I think are ugly.

Its long over due - People should not have been allowed to own unreleased items. If I had been running the joint. People wearing and trading unreleased items would have been banned. Or at least had the item removed. Buyers beware has never been more true in this game.

I spent 32m for mine. Got to enjoy it 2 years longer than people who just got it today. I'm happy for them. I've moved on to the next big thing in hats.

Exactly! I don't think the OP "worked" for it because he just really wanted it. He was hoping to profit later.

Look at it this way. You had two years of having a really cool unreleased item. If the game had closed you would had nothing in the end. For two years you had bragging rights of saving up to buy a rare, unreleased item. Feel good about that.
