QUITTING OVER ITEMS:
I encourage you to stay. I can tell you, A game is a game. Yes it stinks to spend real money just to get enough coins to reach goals but there is definitely other ways to make coins. Buy items and hoard them as well as the free gifts, specials they have and factory work. When rereleases hit stores in Zynga's hands; Yes it was like a boot being thrown at us when we had items that we bought for high prices. Heak I spent 8million on my knob Right before rereleases hit. Not to mention all the 2009 items I had stored away. Was I still happy to play the game.. Yes! Why?... Because I enjoy doing what I do. I love the game for what it was created for. I love to decorate and dress my pixel up in creative ways and hang with my best friend. No matter what amount of money spent and loose I would still enjoy this game.

IF WE STARTED FROM SCRATCH:
Now I don't know if I would have played had we started from scratch all over when BVG bought our game. Why because well the hope of the game staying around again would be tough to believe mainly because many would probably refuse to spend real money again and the game would have been a flop. BVG has done a great thing trying their best to restore our game. Buying unreleased items was always risky so I refused to fall in that line. I had 36m in my Yohand to buy and thought I would rather buy 2008 released stuff and enjoy the old items I liked better. **One rule I personally made for myself is to only buy things at high price that I truly love to have.** I truly hope BVG releases items kind of similar to the older ones so that newer players have a chance to own such fun items but to reserve and preserve the games big old "Legit" items. This is why I hope for that; so we keep a lot of the older players still playing and supporting the finical aspect of the game. If by chance something happens then I count my loss and move to newer items. Every day items that are raised in price I have a new goal to set. I know the mixed emotion. Been there but I fully support BVG for the way they are trying to pull the bad weeds up and out of this game.

QUITTING DUE TO NEGATIVE PLAYERS:
I remember the older days of playing vs. playing now. It has changed. Everyone was kind and had a blast with friends new or old; but now in todays YoSociety its much like the Real life. You have lots of people who are negative and lots of people who disrespect with actions and words in the game but I know people are not usually like that on purpose. Something may be going on or they feel they have to meet standards to have certain friends on here. I continue to move on and be my caring self. To walk away, be kind hearted in every situation and never allow frustration to consume me because it only ends in hurting others or regret of choices. I own up to my mistakes when I make them or when I cross a line I try to correct it.

PERSONALLY BE GRATEFUL:
In real I have not been able to spend like I used to but soon things will get better and I will continue to finically support my favorite game! BVG is doing all they can to actually improve our game so lets press on and support them. Be thankful we still have our rooms to look at and our pixel people to play with. Even when I lost money with Zynga I still was grateful and knew that my choices to buy high priced items may not have been smart but I still loved what I bought and at the moment accomplished my goals.

I want to just encourage you all to stay even if your frustrated with item releases or pixel attitudes that make you feel attacked. This game is what you make it. Same as the real like. It is what you make it. I love meeting older and newer players and hope with time this game will be restored and people that no longer play do come back! I hope that what I have said here is a uplifting forum post to those who just want to quit but are on the fence about it. There is many fun aspects to this game. It is what you want it to be! I come here to have fun and get away from the real world for a bit. I truly am grateful!

<3 Much Love to the YoWorld <3

Well said.

Some find their path in trading, but they forget it is a game to entertain us where the rules do sometimes change. By my estimates, I've lost about 70M coins over the past 2 years to rule changes and cheaters. I'm good. I've made em up elsewhere. Sometimes you hit 'Bankrupt' in Yo.....but sometimes you hit the Jackpot too.

It is what it is.

I like the rule about buying things at high price you really love to have. I play by that same rule. I understand that many have lost coins and so have I, but if you had fun reaching the goal isnt that kind of the point. I had some one trying to pick an argument the other day about this. They kept saying the new players need to work for what they have. that's the only way to have fun. To which I replied if that's true and you had so much fun attaining you goal why does it matter now that other's can do the same. Yes you spent real money like many of us have but you were paying to be entertained. So why does it bother you that others do the same but maybe in a different manner. If its not about just looking pixel "rich".

Many words,but I read them all :)
I also stick to only spending a lot on an item if I really really like it a lot.
And the positive feelings about YoWorld have always outweighted the negative ones, even when for 18 months I couldn't dress my avatar, decorate rooms or do anything else that required opening my inventory.
I kept trying once in a while, hoping for it to work again and indeed,on BVG's first day it finally did.

Right! I just recently read a post about someone leaving over the hat. It's sad to see this happen because the game is so much more than expensive items!
