Why is e-mail a bad word.I was talking to a player told her to e-mail BVG for her problem and it kept saying yada. She kicked thinking I was cussing her.

I believe that signs like . , - etc can cause problems sometimes,but it may also be something else that triggered the filter.

LOL I had that same problem a few days back. I know it's not funny at the time, I am not one to go yaddaing around Yo. I cannot figure why we would not be able to use the word email.

Its a filter to help prevent people from stealing account information, theres those people that take advantage of children who play the game and ask them for account information

I tried saying it without the dash and it still said yadda. Very strange. Would love to know what's wrong with the word email, takes a bit longer to type out Internet message. :lol:

I wanted to go check the price of something at a trade, so said I was not interested, and 'cheers x' and it came out yadda! I said oops and tried again, same thing....got booted because the owner thought I was being rude and couldnt go back and get the item i wanted!! pfft!

yes well I don't like others thinking I am a bad person cause now this girl thinks I cussed her out. I don't treat others like that and it bothers me that she thinks that now.

it as also to stop people from using the period,comma, etc in the middle of profanity to trick the filter

Oh well, I guess that makes sense. Although kids 13 and over (which is the age limit for Yo & FB) should know basic Internet safety or shouldn't be using the computer in my opinion. But there are those adults who don't know better than to give out personal info too.

I agree, I don't treat people that way in RL or the game so it is pretty upsetting when people think you are cussing them.

Well I believe that our true selves do show in this game alot. I just happened to read that girls message box and she was a kicker and has scammed alot of people.So I guess I am not as worried that she thought I was cussing her now.She kicked cause she is like that.Oh well.
