I disagree they should have put them back immediately when they were warned the price jacking would happen. Next best thing was/is to bring them back pretty quickly as they did.

If you have 1 million coins, you should be savvy enough in the game to know things like this happen. How long does it take to check the store and see if the pants have made a comeback before buying? Also, why not block items in store and prevent this from ever happening? I'm not saying they deserved this but it's kind of a good lesson. And I don't think it's scamming. Dishonest, yes.
