Congrats to all NO'ers.
Happy profiting !

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Many people dislike and still waiting for the removal of the expired themes' shadows from the store. I was thinking, well, as they are not being removed, why not just unlock them all...

None of those themes expired fairly nor naturally after all. Zynga rushed to expire them in order to earn the last extra bulk cash before the closure of Yoville. Many players had already stopped playing at those days. We didn't even have time to enjoy them in the first place. Am I wrong?

Another thing, more important than that, we know BVG say they are losing money each day for the upkeep of this game, on the other hand, they can't create furnitures at the moment, plus, we can see that many people are not much happy about the clothing releases too yet, BVG is trying to encourage people to buy yocash.

If they unluck the existing themes, that will be for the benefit of the company, and the game's future in the first place. I know what they said about re-releases, but at the moment there is an extra ordinary situation and decisions can change.

I mean think about it... what else can push people to purchase yocash more than this huge re-release of all themes at the moment? People need to think about this out of the boundaries of personal item value loss.

Another edit to add:
I see some people are misunderstanding the whole thread. This is not about bringing 08's and other "OLD" themes. Here, we are suggesting to unlock all of the recent themes that are still visible in store.

Edit to add:

Also another thing, on this poll, when you vote no, I don't take it personally as if you are against me, neither I personally get honored with the yes votes. It is not about me. it is about the game, about the community. I just made the thread. That's all. So don't attack me if you disagree because I am not attacking anyone. I respect everybody's opinion and expecting the same.

Players who stayed had a fair chance of getting them.
Re-releases are not needed and are unfair.
BVG have already said they won't be doing re-releases.

Hopefully votes will show what majority thinks. Things can change, point of view can change, thoughts can change...

No, then my items will lose value, not that they are expensive but I want to be able to sell and make a profit. If they unlock them.....I will lose money.

Ummm folks who stayed loyal to the game, and played doggedly. Unlike myself who left for 3 yrs. Deserve to have their assets appreciate. Its no one else's fault but my own that I stopped playing. Nor is it anyone else's fault that you stopped playing and missed all the themes.
Just remove them from the store I say, they are nothing but a hindrance when shopping. BTW lots of players could say the same thing about 08 costumes.. awww I wasn't playing then, pls release them again. NO NO NO.

What I see from all of the similar discussions so far, actually, for aprox. half of the players, this game is all about making profit & raising coins and having expensive items to show them off. For the other half, it is about fun, buying what you like, decorating & dressing up without worrying about chasing stuff, without worrying about the prices of the stuff. These are 2 different types of gameplay, 2 opposite states of mind. It is hard to make both happy... And with the Zynga's way, the second half has ALWAYS been unhappy.

I don't think it is. Its called mutual respect for each others style of game play. I play both ways, so I dont have a problem respecting either style of playing. Although, your concluding analysis of people playing only to have expensive items simply to show them off is a generalizing subjective conclusion, at best. For me its a challenge to obtain these expensive items, AND having them allows me to be able to AFFORD to decorate in the manner that I like. Which costs a lot of coins. I also just happen to like them! Imagine that. :P

Half of those themes you want unlocked are re-releases of already previously released themes. Which MAJORLY upset a lot of the players who play to collect and profit, if you recall. And the re-releases didnt seem to help the second group of players either. The minute they left store the second time, a lot of them became as expensive (if not more) the second time around.

I play in both ways too. But only because I HAVE TO. Because in order to survive in the current yo-economy, you simply have to do what others are doing... buy low & sell high

I have some expensive items too but I have them only because I like them and not parting with them no matter how jacked they are. I am using them. On the other hand, no matter how many coins I have, I still can't decorate the way as I want to because the stuff I need for a specific design idea are not in store any more and I can't find everything easily at events. Plus, even if I find what I need (which happens very rarely) paying 20k and up for an item that costed 1k in store doesn't help me. That way I can't use my coins effectively. They are being wasted. That's what I feel about it.

I really wonder whose idea was it to "expire" stuff from the store in the first place. It's a bad concept for a game that's about design & decoration & fashion. Whatever gets released, should always stay in store. There can be "collectibles" that expire, but that should be it. Main stuff should always be available. This is just my opinion though.

I would also like to add that I do not agree that those items were closed unfairly. There were timers on those themes. If people decided to stop playing during those times, then that was THEIR choice to do so. Personally, I wish we could move on from threads like this. It gets old to see people begging for old items to be re-leased or re-re-leased over and over. Not to mention that BVG has stated that they are not going to release items that were legitimately released in the store but have since been closed out.

It was Zynga's idea of course as a last ditch effort at a cash grab before they shut the game down. People really believed that Z was "listening" to them and doing what players wanted. They were not listening at all.....they opened themes that made them money in the past, that was all.

Were people satisfied? Some were to get all the coin items, but how many threads did we have to endure over from people having to pay the current yocash rate, as opposed to the prices on the guides back when the items were originally released? Players tend to not think things through or see the big picture when it comes to what they think they are entitled to.

Nobody is "begging" for re-releases. Or nobdy is "begging" for not having re-releases. That's a wrong word to use here. As I said, there are 2 different points of view, everybody is expressing their own opinions.

Of course they did have timers. One after the other all items expired just for the sake of collecting income right before the sunset of the game. Those expirations were unnatural, we all know that.

Well, I just disagree with it being unnatural. Just because people couldn't buy every item, in every theme does not mean that they should be re-opened. And yes, people have been begging BVG to re-release old themes.......the word is very appropriate.

The game is not just about design, decoration and fashion for a lot of players. By your responses, you seem to give the idea you think that's the more noble way to play, than playing to obtain items simply to show off, as you somewhat disparagingly put it. Both are valid forms of gameplay. And I don't agree they were unnatural either. Expiring themes have been a part of this game a long time, since the beginning. We all know it was a cash grab, it doesn't change the fact that they had timers on them the second time around, which is a normal part of gameplay for this game.

Begging is a subjective word in this game. What is not begging to one, is begging to another.
