Btw, this is by far the best outfit contest BVG has held. Maybe it's the nostalgia of the old times (even if I was born 1998) Congratulations to the winners!~

I'm not too happy about that, I don't really care too much about the others but the twins are a bit of a concern for me.![]()
Congrats to the winners.
Both of them look fantastic. They obviously developed their looks independently, they just have similar tastes. There was no "Unique Look" requirement in the rules. So if one look was good enough to win, it is obvious the other one should be a winner as well?
They specifically said this is NOT a fashion contest! Like I said if that was the case I would NOT wear baker elf clothing. Thought this was a christmas theme in a fantasy game?
Hey YoFans,
This particular contest was a dress-up contest so anything goes, really. The example shown was just to further illustrate that this was not a design contest, that's all.![]()
The rules were loose and simple so that players could get as wacky or as tame as they felt like being. We don't like to stifle creativity!
From the official contest thread:We want to see your best train-chic holiday outfits! Put together a stunning ensemble that shows us how you'd travel in style to see friends and family for the holidays.
That's the beauty of YoWorld, you know? You can be as 'crazy' or as 'normal' as you want to be. Maybe your Yo-family lives in a Toy Tower and keeps talking pet reindeer, so you dressed for that occasion. Or, maybe your Yo-family prefers to RP something closer to reality, and you wanted to dress your avatar in a style you might actually wear in real life.
Additionally, judging these contests is a pretty large feat. (The thread had hundreds upon hundreds of entries!) Viking Jess and I like to enlist the help of the rest of the team when it's time to make the final decision. We feel that's a fair way to ensure all entries are given full and thoughtful consideration! Then, we take everybody's choices and compile them where they're pared down further and ultimately become the results we announce. I'm not bothered by the similar outfits - try imagining those two entries as full characters! Picture their voices, the way they walk, what their back story might be, etc. - people in real life adopt similar styles to one another as well, and that doesn't stop them from being worthy of individual recognition.![]()
I'm confident in the chosen winners. There are some familiar faces and new ones, which is nice.
Anyway, you're all free to express frustration when you feel it's necessary to do so, but please remember to be respectful and kind to us and each other while doing so.
What is the point of having a contest if you pick all the same looking costumes that have nothing to do with the theme? I read this was NOT a fashion contest and seems a lot of winning selections were not even on theme.
It's because they have favorites. Some of those winners are there superstars.

I was thinking the same thing I mean all entry’s was amazing I understand not everyone can win but most of them are recurring winners each contest holded even if they are not dressed to the theme. They could enter with just skin on and win but that’s life. Not like they are the only people putting into the game as many people spend lots of real money on it and they never seem to win or get anything back because they are not favourites. It’s like high school when your teacher hosts a contest for you to create a item but it doesn’t matter how amazing yours is the teachers favourite will win no matter what.
I’m not saying people didn’t deserve to win because that’s not true I think all entry’s was amazing indeed and everyone tried really hard just that you can predict some names who come up but congratulations to all who won you did fab!
