My Best concert has to be getting to see Elvis in his last performance here in Indianapolis. He was amazing. I still have my program and ticket stubs.

My best concert ever was one I attended at the Warfield in San Francisco for Fatboy Slim when he was still hugely popular. The Warfield was grand in an old style Spanish Baroque Revival sort of way with laser light shows, various disco balls, and other mood setting items. The venue was filled with twentysomething's like me dressed to impress; but not really seeming to try...Fatboy Slim was spinning his music, everyone was dancing and having a great time. My date and I must have looked good as people kept slipping us their numbers throughout the night and complimenting us on our outfits which had a luxe Mod retro vibe to them. Neither of us minded being hit upon, as we were used to it, and laughed about it. Heck, we even had a contest between the two of us as to who could probably get hit on the most. We both had a great time moving to the music, meeting new people, meeting up with old friends, and just checking out the spectacle that was the show on the stage and off the stage. No fights broke out. Everyone was chill. That concert lasted for four hours and was so much fun. After that we headed off to one of our favourite after hours hang outs in San Francisco, and two days later I was headed back to London for University.

In the course of our work, my wife and I met a lady who was married to one of the members of Huey Lewis and the News. She told us that when the band was playing near us she would get us tickets. Not only was she good for her word, but when their schedule brought them just 30 miles from our house, she also got us back stage passes. We watched the concert from some of the best seats in the hall and then met the whole band backstage. She even got us T-shirts! What a great night and great people - one I will never forget.

My favourite concert memories are from the Depeche Mode gig at Whitley Bay Ice Rink back in the January of 1988. Me and my sister had seen them a couple of years earlier in 1986, their performance had totally blown us away and being third from the front at that show we'd decided that next time we needed to be at the front on the barrier.
We got up early that Saturday morning taped their performance of Behind the Wheel from a local music show then headed straight to the Venue and arrived around 1pm. There was already a few other fans there so we joined the group at the venue entrance and immediately started chatting about our favourite band and listened to their music on someones handheld music player. I met one of my long time friends in that queue and we've gone on to share many more DM and other memories.
Back then our local town didn't have an Arena as many do now and security was different. We all ended up chatting to venue staff and ended up in the dressing room before the band arrived. I just remember there being lots of plastic flowers placed around the room. We all joked that we should hide and be there when the band arrived. After a little while we were told we should leave as it wouldn't be too long before DM arrived. So we left apart from one girl the security missed who had hid behind the sofa, she later joined us in the queue as a member of staff had spotted her tour poster poking out from behind the sofa and seen it move when she'd tried to pull it out of view.
We all hung around outside a little while longer before we saw their tour bus arrive. We all dashed over to the side entrance to greet them and see them go in before taking our places back in the queue. The entrance was perfectly placed and we all could see them through the doors having a game of five a side football before the soundcheck.
7pm finally arrived and we all showed our tickets then ran straight into the concert area. We'd all managed to get on the barrier too. The security were local firemen and I remember them saying that they weren't really that bothered about being there as they were not that into DM. Then came the support act an electronic band from Germany called Hard Corps. They were really good and their lovely lady singer had some rather exotic costume changes which seemed to brighten up the mood of the firemen security, so by the time DM were onstage they were happy to take photos for us all.
Just after 9pm DM came on stage to the sound of their track Pimpf with bellowing black curtains and dry ice. The curtain fell and everyone just went crazy for the next hour and a half to classic tracks such as Strange Love, Never Let Me Down, Behind the Wheel and many other classics. The show finished on Everything Counts and it was an unforgettable moment, as it was drawing towards the end the crowd sang the line "The grabbing hands grab all they can, Everything Counts in large amounts" we sang it faster and faster till in the end the band couldn't play fast enough to keep up with us and just stopped playing and came out from behind their keyboards, leaned on them and just stood and listened to us all singing, We eventually all just went crazy, it was an unforgettable incredible show. And we've not missed a tour since. It all just holds a very special place in my heart.

YoPeeps,
Oh man...the best concert is probably...ALL of them, giggles. I would say probably REO Speedwagon. Believe it or not QUIET RIOT opened up for them in Missoula, MT back in the early 80's. It was crazy. We had never heard of QUIET RIOT and they opened the show with "Come On Feel The Noise" and we were like WTHello Kitty, this is awesome, who are they, never heard of them. They got the crowd head banging and partying it out right, lol. REO came on stage and they were great. Had a great stage presence and kept us all rocking the rest of the night. I remember hanging out after the concert and all the college students were everywhere. People all over and cars racing up and down every road near campus. Parties galore. We attended a few, but knew not to drink cuz we had to drive over 100 miles back home that night. We ended up at a frat house party and we all were given a concert tee-shirt. I still have that tee-shirt...my daughter wanted it but I'm still holding on to it for dear life, just for memories sake, giggles. I would share more and deeper details, but....I ended up drinking at the frat house. Woke up in my besties car and that's all I gotta say about that, muahahahahaha. :D

:D  This is a very difficult one....hmmmmmm I guess my best concert (or one of) I have attended would be The Specials in London 1981 - with the original line up. I have since met the lead singer many times. Of course I have attended a lot of concerts over the years but that was my very first I experienced with my big sister.

My Best concert ever was seeing Bob Seger for the second time back in 1986 in Providence RI. He put such a fantastic show on. And my sister had a friend who owned personal security for Rock Groups. Not only did he get us the tickets and great seats but gave us back stage passes for after the show. So we had a wonderful time seeing the concert live and meeting Bob Seger who had been my favorite singer for years.

I have been to so many amazing concerts from AC/DC to the Rolling Stones!! But my all time favorite show was and always is when I see Robert Plant! The best memory however was traveling to Birmingham, England to see him in 1995 with Jimmy Page. The two had an awesome album together and the concert was off the charts wonderful!! Always a religious experience, so uplifting and positive!! It also doesn't hurt that sometimes I get back stage and get to meet him. :)

I have seen Insane Clown Posse in Milwaukee, Wisconsin twice. We were lucky enough to have VIP tickets. That included meeting the band, getting some cool necklaces, a sampler cd, and we got to have some of our things signed by them! Also, we were allowed to take part in their "Faygo Armageddon". We got to throw soda on the whole crowd with the band!!! It was a sticky, sweaty, amazing night! I was lucky enough to be able to spoil my fiancé by taking him two years in a row. They are his favorite band and it was an anniversary gift to him from me. The Rave Eagle's Ballroom in Milwaukee, is historical, yes, but it also has amazing acoustics and different little features that really make the experience complete. I am still trying to figure out how to top this for our first wedding anniversary....

I'm stuck between 2 concerts. One was EXO in Newark. 2 of my friends and I decided out of nowhere to fly our butts from Alabama to New Jersey for this concert, and several things actually went very wrong in our plans - booking the wrong hotel by the same name, weather, no one could find the merch, a creepy hotel shuttle driver who turned out to be a great guy. But while waiting outside the venue for the concert (that kept being postponed due to technical issues) it was pouring rain and so windy that our umbrellas were snapping, haha. All of this weird buildup made the concert itself such a relief and, really, a good time. Their voices were great, being there with my friends was even greater, and I would totally do it all over again in exactly the same way!

The second concert was 30 Seconds to Mars and Muse. I went with another 2 friends to this one. Firstly, the venue was beautiful. It was the Lakewood Amphitheater in Atlanta, partially uncovered, and the walls around had plants and vines encasing them. Just very pretty! Lol The friend who invited me was lit for Muse, and I liked Muse, but I didn't know much by them? I was mostly excited for 30 Seconds to Mars. So 30 Seconds comes on and blows me away. Jared was so energetic and friendly, performed no song poorly. Really spoke to my inner teenager tbh. But then Muse comes on, and the casual Muse fan evolved. By this time it was getting dark outside. Every aspect of Muse's performance was so perfect and pleasing to hear and see. It was dramatic and really a beautiful experience that shifted my (ever changing) taste in music to include this group more often than not in my playlists now, lol.

No image seems to be uploading, but I wish I could show my favorite picture from Muse's concert :D

Thanks guys!
